  17. Mike was indeed a top guy - one of the nicest, most genuine non-BS people you could wish to meet. He had a wealth of knowledge, especially on Detroit stuff which was his passion. I understand that he had a Detroit collection to die for until he sold up some 30 years ago. He was (and he will take this as a compliment!) an anorak's anorak!! Will miss his company at GoGo Children.
  18. Indeed.......this was all discussed when the episode was first shown couple of years ago. Extensive debate about how it wasn't actually called Northern Soul yet, inappropriate fashiosn for the time, records not yet discovered........
  19. Never spoke to him, never met him. But always wanted to read what he had to say because it was always worth reading and I usually learnt something. Like a lot of us on this site that didn't actually know the man, I shall miss him nonetheless. My thoughts are with his family and friends, though I think all of us on here have in some small way been his friend anyway through our shared love of this music.
  20. Mal mate, there is simply no excuse for rudeness. If you got the time to post up your sales and wants and someone has taken the time and trouble to respond, then it is pure rudeness and laziness not to bother replying. I cannot imagine that anyone's inbox is inundated to such a degree that they physically cannot reply to their messages in timely fashion. People that do this deserve negative feedback.
  21. Maybe mate, maybe..........
  22. Rayons is a bargain - can't understand why this is not a big big record.
  23. How much did this sell for Chico?
  24. Come on Pete!!? You been around long enough to know it's not meant to be 'fun'............well, not in the conventional sense.
