Agree with crogger different records. The Johnnie Mae Matthews is a far better record in itself.
  2. Think ive got that CD in one of the boxes wasn't 'Deborah's Song' the good track. Just played it via YouTube still sounds good.
  3. Walking down the stairs of the 100 club & hearing Maxine Brown - It's Torture. Hairs on the back of the neck!!
  4. Great one to start a set.
  5. Willie Hutch penned.
  6. I think the Grapevine 2000 (2003) came before the Kent release. Says on the Kent 45 release taken from the Kent CD, which is a 2007 release. Great record one of my favourites.
  7. Already a number of copies (Sharon Ridley) on Discogs.
  8. I pick & choose mostly 70`s Soul new to 45.
  9. OVO

Some titles had local releases then national - America is a big place. This was explained to you very well. I guess Babyboy you"ve never collected records? As for your comment about being shot etc for playing such releases please let us know names of the half-wits who take this stance.
  10. Looks like they went within half an hour. I didn't buy one as had one previous.
  11. Anyone interested & quick it looks like Dusty Groove have some copies.
  12. Just been playing my copy which arrived today. Best release for me to date - Thanks!
  13. Do tell me what these titles are you think I am missing out on or decent copies don't come to market ? I guess you are missing the point. A deal has been agreed on M- graded record I am sent a vg graded record is that clear now.
  14. Yes I do & that is because I've been bitten too many times in the past.
  15. The thing is with chanchers looking to buy mint records for bugger all PhilT (I do agree with you) but you don't have to deal with them. As a buyer to then return record & refund to someone you don't trust is a balls ache. Also for me a soundfile isn't important as I don't expect to be buying a record that doesn't play through.
  16. Could not agree with you more. I just ignore listing as you've explained. They come across as chances looking for mint prices for poor conditioned records, it's not hard to grade records honestly & to the site rules.
  17. Short set from me 1. Terry Harris - On The Floor 2. The Masqueraders - Sweet Sweetning 3. The Intrepids - After You've Had Your Fling (Get Down To The Real Thing) 4. Bottom & Company - Gonna Find A True Love 5. Darrow Fletcher - (Love Is My) Secret Weapon 6. The J's - When Did You Stop 7. Neo Experience - Human 8. Bloodstone - Just Wanna Get The Feel Of It 9. Four Tops - I Just Can't Get You Out Of My Mind 10. Love Affair - I Can't Stop Loving You
  18. Saw it also & was shocked.
  19. John Edwards Satin James Phelps Nate Evans Magnetics . In this order for me.
  20. Would be great if you could release the Paul Kelly as mentioned in the show.
  21. Johnnie Mae Matthews for me. The others are good but Johnnie Mae Matthews is exceptional - beautiful piece of music.
  22. Nearly 5 hours long - a mixture of Northern 60's & 70's Soul.
  23. Stephanie Mills - Whatcha gonna do with my lovin '
  24. Both great but the Platters is the better vocal.
