  6. Ive still got them all they ran from july 89 until autumn 97 the last issue was No 16 . All were A4 size apart from Nos 12 and 16 which were A5. To me a british collector it was the best magazine of its type by a mile. I also purchased a number of rare british singles from Pete who was always a pleasure to deal with(though i could never get him to part with his Chubby Checker You Just Dont Know Cameo Parkway)

  11. i think both versions were released in this country on minit and then jay boy . i prefer the jay boy version.
  12. Big Bob Knight is responsible for many of these records. in the late 60s he was running 7 discos at the same time in the northants area. he had 5 boxes of records and when a soul record he wanted came out he would buy 5 copies ,one for each box. Soon adds up.
  13. has anyone mentioned the ads for the blackpool mecca that were printed in blues and soul in which they apologised for not being able to list the records they were playing because of some contemptable underhand french individual from california who as soon as he found out the title pressed them up in large quantities and flooded the market with them. they went on to describe him as an evil person. Any relation?

    great version . first time i came across it was on the Marvin Gaye box set cd. there were four cds in the box and it was on the rare and unreleased cd. so possibly unreleased?

    the last one went for £1300+ which seemed over the top.great record but they do seem to turn up fairly often

    Green onions : Booker T and the MGs Yellow London Demo has 400 stamped on it . They werent making records 4 minutes long in 1962 were they?
