  2. Thanks for posting this up Pete , every time I think I've moved on and got The Casino bug out of my head , listening to live recordings of the old place , takes me right back and tugs at the heart strings .Makes you realise what great records Russ played in the early years too .We all scoff at the likes of The Javells getting played , but doesn't it sound great on this tape ? Hope you can post up Richard's spot and yes he did play Gary Lewis !! Thanks a lot ,Eddie

Really sad loss , one of my faves by Willie is " Man that I am " on Gatur , he also wrote "One more chance " for Margie Joseph [ Volt ] .Really grateful I caught his act at Cleethorpes w/ ender [ thanks Ady ] .A unique artist , he will be sadly missed by the Soul scene , RIP Willie , Best ,Eddie
  12. Can I have 5 ? The Wheel , The Torch , Pendulum , The Cats [ nearly went to the last night, but that's another story ] and Va Va's . In conversation with Steve Glover and Jan years ago , at Soul Galore record stall , they reckoned that Up the junction , Crewe was the best , so would've liked to have gone there as well !! Wish I'd gone to The Mecca more as well ,especially for Colin Curtis's last hour sets, but Wigan was more straightforward on the train .Best ,Eddie
  13. W King Cole " I wonder why " and Harold Tyler " Reality " are 2 modern / crossover sides that are hitting the spot for me at the moment ,Best ,Eddie

  16. I heard Richard S. play a David Bowie 12" promo on RCA in Mr M's during the early session once .It was during the time that Richard worked for RCA and he would often try out new stuff in the early sessions .Think the track was from Bowie's " Heroes " set , but can't remember the title .Also I seem to remember hearing a track by Cream during my first visit to The Casino in Jan 1975 - anybody got any ideas what that could be ? !! Best ,Eddie
