  1. Your want could have sold on the same day as it was listed. If the sale went through before the daily email from Discogs goes out then you wont get notified that there was one for sale but the sales history will be there. The link you put up for the Mighty Pope album is for the master release which consists of three different releases, you need to click on one of these to get the sales history.
  2. Could a mix up come from this, it mentions that song and Diana Ross. This is opening line from an interview with Cal Gill in Record Collector in 2007. She possessed one of the most earthy, soulful vocal deliveries associated with the Motown label, but Cal Gill, lead singer with The Velvelettes, was told she had to pinch her nose while singing (We’ve Got) Honey Love to sound more like Diana Ross – even though the five-piece (Cal Gill, Norma Barbee, Bertha Barbee, Mildred Gill, Betty Kelly) had beaten The Supremes not once but twice in a Motown Battle Of The Stars talent contest in 1964. https://recordcollectormag.com/articles/standing-in-the-shadows-of-motown
  3. I have some old notes on my computer that says they're a 5 man latino group with Bobby Cruz on lead.

  7. The Controllers - The People Want music - Juana Something that I've never played in many years that came random play on my Itunes recently. Memories of downstairs at Bradford Queens Hall early 90's. Still get it for a fiver.
  8. There Are Roses Somewhere In This World by Bobby Taylor
  9. He was singing on these too. A great artist.
  10. I looked in to this when i first noticed it years ago. Probably just a Discogs entry mistake when trying to put the David Lasley issue on there. I don't think the issue copy with two sides was released and it was put on there trying to find one. When adding a new listing on there you can "Copy To Draft" from another record which takes all the details from that release and then you can add or remove details for your new release. The link you put above was from a "Copy To Draft" of Johnny Adams - One Fine Day on Ariola Records and the contributor forgot to change the artist to David Lasley. So i think Philly Groove 178 was never officially released and you can only get it as a demo with "One Fine Day" on both sides Mono / Stereo.
  11. I've had a red Linda Lloyd. The ones I listed are a lot harder to find as issues, I'd add Eric Lomax to that list too.
  12. Jimmy Fraser - Tombstones Susan Rewis - They Say Linda Lloyd - Breakaway
  13. The Lovelites supposedly unissued "I'm Not Like The Others" is actually a very rare release by June Lee (AKA Deniece Chandler, Deniece Williams)
  14. Larry Wu - Let Me Show You - Atlantic Promo NM £100 This is an original "SP" Speciality vinyl press.
  15. Reissue white demo from around 1977 is Ritchie
  16. GRT took over Chess in 1971 and they could be generic white sleeves from then ? This is from 45-sleeves
  17. I don't know which came first. It was copyrighted as "Heartache", maybe "Heartbreak" was a typo and they got it repressed.
  18. Great to finally put a face to one of my favourite oldies, thanks for the pics. There are issues and demos with the title "Heartbreak" which is the actual word Richie sings in the song rather than the more common and mostly used "Heartache"
  19. I've searched but never seen a picture. Apparently he is white, his surname is Jarvis. Little Richie Jarvis was on "The Porter Wagoner Show" season 07 Episode 18 singing two songs, "Banks Of The Ohio" and "Bottle Of Wine" around 1967/68 . This was a big show in America that ran for many years, there's got to be some footage somewhere.
  20. Hello Mal, this but slowed down.
  21. F.A.O T.M could be Tommy Mottola (recorded as T.D Valentine on Epic and ex husband of Mariah Carey and Sony Records boss) Ujima's next record was Hall & Oates "She's Gone" Tommy was heavily involved with them and went on to be their manager.
  22. Ujima – I'm Gettin' Hip (To Your Ways & Actions)
  23. Hello Neal I know you asked for the 45 but have you any interest in an original album promo pack. Unplayed and includes "No Limit", "Rising Cost Of Love" and album only track "How Can You (Live Without Love)" £50 plus post.
