Rare Soul Deejay Butch 1991 Yarmouth
I've just dug out 11 cassettes from the Yarmouth weekenders. Six of them are dated 20/21 October 1990 and the other five are possibly the year after. They can be passed on free to someone who has the time to record them to mp3 and upload somewhere (Chalky, send me a PM if interested) . Also found a box of 32 cassettes from a weekender but not sure what they are yet without playing them, i do remember taping the full weekend from one of the early Fleetwoods so it could be that.

New Discovery? Already Known? Blind Billy 45
There's definately another known soul song with that backing, i think it's a male vocal also. Maybe another Hemphill or Sound Of Birmingham track.

Tony Middleton - Spanish Maiden On Storm
From what i remember somebody found 3 copies of the 12" in the states ( i got one of them in a trade). Shaun Gibbons was the first DJ i heard playing it. I'd guess it was around 1986. I'd be surprised if there wasn't a few copies on Speed or Storm already in the UK with Tony Middleton being a well known name on the scene but just never played out. It was at that time i first started to hear latin stuff like David Coleman, Hector Rivera and the Fania releases.

Thee Midniters - Anybody Playing Out Their Tracks ? Which Ones ?
"Making Ends Meet" is a great track, it's the flip to "You're Gonna Make Me Cry".

Help Please - 100% Pure Poison
It's an original demo. You can see the run out stamp INT 501 A-1 in your scan, exactly how it is on the issues. There's some issue copies with a "Factory Sample Not For Sale" sticker on them but yours is the first i've seen with the demo details printed on the middle. Definitely rarer than an issue.

Soul Inc - My Proposal
Cecil Washington joined this site a few years ago. His quote "Only very recently did I become aware that "My Proposal" had so well received. I wrote it but also helped with singing it. My voice is the one that comes in with the harmony"
