Trying to find a song
Thanks Woodbutcher but It's Neither of those and it's not a cover of the Beatles track. I do remember that it was a male group like the Dramatics or dynamics? Best Dave

Trying to find a song
Good morning folks. I'm trying to locate a track that I heard on a podcast a few years back. It's a mid tempo late 60's early 70's tune called "Blackbird" and has the line "have you ever heard a Blackbird sing" or similar. Thanks for your help. Dave

I bought it for the "one good reason"side but like "I'm the one" just as much. Which side I play depends on the mood I'm in. Cheers Dave

Same as my Copy that I've had for a year now and which looks like it's been around the block a few times. Identical matrix on mine as well. Not booted to the best of my knowledge. Dave

house for sale
Indeed the LP cut is more punchier and an over all better production. I've given up on using you tube as a reference for record labels as too many liberties tend to be taken. Of the two posted above, the first one sounds like the Kent 45 version and the pink one is the original album version. The 7" was a UK only release for the soul market and is not rare by any means. I'm happy to be corrected on anything I've said here as it's been many years since I sold my UK copy. Brilliant record whatever, Dave

Hand It Over-Chuck - Kent
=Hi Ady. I remember commenting on this many moons ago. The difference was between the version on the "Kent 50" compilation and the version on the original issue on the red/yellow UK Pye release. There was a small difference in the lyrics. One version had "come on baby and give me a kiss, come on baby that's just what I miss" versus the more risqué "come on baby take me for a ride, I know mama this has gotta be the night". Can't remember which version was which but sure someone on here will. Dave

JOHNNY HONEYCUT
Pretty sure the boot came out same time as Four Tracks on Mandingo and Teri Goodnight "they didn't know" late 80's Dave
