Am not on any so called "social media" but could the community (or what ever it's called there) openly comment such a 'sale's post' with the support of the RNS group 'moderators' worthy of that name or is all Zukerberg self regulated with liberal commercialist principles ? Am asking as such a sale's post on here would definitely be 'hot' instantly to the OP despair and shame !

Many great materials from this vocal trio but this number has to be one of their most meaningful composition with truly inspired vocals and musical arrangements of the highest order. Gracing even more their 'fame' rep achieved mostly later though... But for me a rep achieved through their Doré ballads or some of their Soul Clock, Roker and Janus early releases too. Thank you G. This has to do with the stereo and MONO "war" and the switch in the manufacture of the "mothers" lathe that were always and still done with a 'MONO' cutter for the MONO records up to 1967 but then they switch for a 'stereo' cutter even for the MONO groove "mothers" lathe. It's believed that by the early seventies about every lathe cut were then done with 'stereo' cutters even for MONO records. Since the mid sixties the practice for 'rush' promo releases for major labels with double 'A' sides promotional issues became more and more accepted since radios were indeed playing a lot the same sides when a 'HIT'. Although this thing started because the record companies had no material to toss on the flip and so rushed releases them double 'A' sides or later even 'single sided' for even less elegance. By the late sixties most radios were broadcasting in stereo but not all and many still were using MONO phono gear and so they gave those promos a stereo and MONO double 'A' sides. These MONO sides were cut with a stereo cutter and prove rather disappointing IMO as it's not real MONO but stereo made to be MONO. On my MONO phono set-up those stereo sides sound better than those "fake" MONO sides.

The Volumes classic but on the rarest pressing variation the Monarch white promo ! Much more common on the stocker in any form (Shelley, Terre-Haute or Monarch) or the both other promos this Monarch promo is a tough cookie. In nice condition (styrene surface only Ex- or VG+) it plays fantastic. Listen to its 'needle drop & lift' mp3. If 'I just can't help myself' had it's days on the dance floor for the moment 'one way lover' (my preference) still not. That deserve's a better faith than to remain in the 'connoisseur' corner but begs indeed for either "mature" earbuds or simply wise ones. Then FWIW this Monarch's mastering is slightly louder than the others... £225 overall EX- copy (strong player baring some scuffings on a clean sparkling white label) with free shipping all over the world. Add £6 to have it registered. volumes MO promo.mp3 Billy Butler's classic on the much more tougher and smashing looking white promotional Okeh copy and IMO the better looking ('sharper' fonts and larger logo) but also IME the harder pressing to get hold of than the other WDJ press with 'rounder' fonts for the credits and a faintly smaller Okeh logo promotional copy out there. Yes two pressing plants were involved for the demo copies as for the stockers of 'Boston `Monkey' (aimed to be the 'A' side) or 'Right Track' (instant pick-up favor by the jocks since May 1966) who's instant success begged for many runs of stocker presses with color variants for the label going from 'pink' to 'mauve' and in between... £135 nice EX- copy because of some silly DJ markings on both sides. Yes and no Mick, it actually uses a much more complex algorithm than this and evidently sources it all from the net but manages to avoid edgy, controversial or irrational versions and so manages to provide an approximative yet acceptable simple answer to any 'simple' questions one may ask. Nothing relevant to anyone in the know of it if ever or whose deeper knowledge on the subject who might still object to this or that but to noobs it gives a first approach in understanding any matter without being that far from the truth. A vulgarized introduction like a teacher would give to its class. But most of all with phrasings and articulations of it's own in coherence attesting that it's not a mere 'copied and pasted' lines from various sources. Making it hard to tell for anyone at some point to tell if it's 'man or machine' made. Hence the issue for student essays done that way to tell if a 'cheat' or not. So no 'copyright' payback here making it another problem for those who expected to cash-in on that. And it's only at it's initial phase... That alone in the A.I. world bluffed many. It's not another anecdotic 'software' nor a 'simple' development. It's considered a breakthrough in that field just as it's opening a new can of worms.

Flaws are bound to be abundant willingly or not but stupidly always (like their "reliable" sources for the Mod-thing or the X-over def. also a joke) but ChatGPT developers will certainly re-inforce it's development in perversions for even more complex phrasings in 'acquired certainty' to fool most known as the 'crowd'. Knowing like the 'human behaviorists' that these developers are that only few critics won't measure to the spread out lies established then as the new 'truth'. Plans that have always worked. Inducing fear (like a menace) to weaken one's brain capacity to evaluate reality better and develop anger to all now representing a 'treat'. But now the fact that's an AI is behind it that is almost unidentifiable but maybe for an idiot... Maybe makes it scary. Seemingly human but not. We had the fake seemingly real imaging now comes the presentation with an argumentation. Already used by politicians while debating 'live' passing as know it all with the sources flaws...

Well I do have a friend who is a bit of a geek or 'fan' with those new gadget tech crap and who've briefly tested me with it with his talking "smart" phone (he should have known better) because I've evidently fooled IT for what it is ; a program. A sophisticated one but still that. That can seem impressive to who ever is by giving most acknowledge or generally accepted as being the truth and/or lies about science, culture and western politics... Anyway I still hate the thing (and all such gadgets tools) for many "useless" applications (or future ones by replacing human critical (humor), wit (smart) and cynical (alive) work in the "communication" field for example) even though I know for fact that AI can have it's real purpose in accelerating or eliminating human error factors in some very tedious, complex and demanding resourceful scientific tasks for example that will benefit many. So Dear Professor Loma today's class course proved once again a success very convincing of what such a program whose only at its early days will be capable to do. For the realistic conscious soul that I am it's just forwarding 'dooms day'. Knowing the worst of 'ChatGPT' is just around the corner. And I'm not talking about how many people's jobs are going down the drain in the years to come. That will be a social disaster on its own. Nor am I talking about the 'political correctness' imposition in what ever form or the generalization of 'the single thought' watchful eye that such device will evidently bring by erasing moral intelligence and the fundamentals to replace it with modern liberal dogmas. Or the political propaganda it will force onto us all and especially onto those equipped with their private submissive devices in their pockets steady for the final consumerist Sacrifice. The Merging ! One brain for all. Synthetic life in eternal happiness free of discomfort, conscience and privation. ChatGPT meets the MultiVerse. Every politician dream come true with all consuming and voting the same. Making it all not only easier and cleaner but also safer. The Dream come true. Technology finally prevailing over nature's approximative benefits and its unconditional unpleasant fatalities where all can be pre-programmed. No am taking about more serious matter ; the 'nitty gritty' we're still argue about on here between how and what we love and don't love about the "scenes" or 'sceneries' (as in crime) for a more appropriate qualification if ever in plural, complex and most importantly in subjective forms. That with great-low coward caution 'ChatGPT' was programmed to "warn" us from. Reminding us that he's only that a non subjective AI incapable of emotions 👹

First time sale for this record on Soul Source as far as I could find. Nothing surprising as this 'overlooked' or connoisseur then record remained in the shades that long. Until some 5 years ago or about when prices sour-up with a first demand in the USA amongst the low riders & Co. and then further with adventurous 'rare' soul lovers... A record that not only proved hard to find but even more so in decent enough condition. Then in EX or about condition rather tricky to find even with a high price tag. With more promos than stocker about to attest of the little success it had back then in 1971. Anyway here an EX promo copy with light scuffs on the styrene and WOL. Now I couldn't find anything about this 'one shot' project and the girls behind those sultry voices but that this 4 releases Condor label distributed by Avco was from Philly. Am not asking as I'm not the OP. But was only commenting not contradicting what you saw (read me again) while giving the OP my 5 cents on it.

On Atco yes £30 for a minty promo on either SP, PL or MO press. But unless the seller had an old price tag on it the Ru-Jac copy if clean enough commands more than that now. About double and up IME. There's a reason on top and behind the label for that reason; the much better mastering that Atco managed to mess-up. Not so rare on the lovely Ru-Jac still but clean a bit tougher to come by than in VG and below condition.

Right. This raised a 'flag' here for me to plunge back in the old 2017 threads on here about it (there's also a 2007 one ! Classic of classic) making me have to correct myself as I forgot some about it. Important to underline first that the Party Time release's matrix is the Show Time one ; STR 101 !!! Crucial this. Even the Frankford/Wayne acetate bears the STR 101 numbering on its label ! Someone else also mentions owning some kind of rather interesting test/white label Bell Sound label covering up a Party Time release under it. This would likely indicate a 'maybe' Bell interest in a release but we know NOT. Anyway intended at that stage to be pressed on Show Time. But where does that leave the Party Time issue in chronology is nothing certain. With the fact that the producer's on the Party Time is the same as the Four Perfections but not on the Show Time anymore this alone could indicate a 'dispute' release. Unlike I imagined in 2017 where the Party Time would be a "revenge" local pressing to counter the later Heritage release and try to cash back on it one year later almost could the Jamie/Guyden deal have allow them a contemporary exclusivity to promote, distribute and sell their own Party Time pressings locally as it is sometimes done ? Pressed altogether at Frankford and Wayne in peace, love and harmony ? 😉

My guess on the 'how' they're related is that the Party Time label (that only got two releases) whose limited distribution and promotion 'power' were refraining the success potential the record had. Making that deal with the Jamie/Guyden group would improve exactly that locally but nationally as well. Likely they decided to start-up a new label of their own altogether to embark it on anew 'journey'.

Not worth more than the stock in "picture" (art) sleeve IME. These are not collected as such and don't even sound that good (although not bad either) the best ones being the USA Volt pressings evidently. Picture sleeved French Atco are collected. The Tuba (3 pressings including the now revealed to the world 'plug side' promo copy) releases are also collected even if the mix of 'sly girl' is cut shorter than the Volt.

Only know of the USA Stax WDJ copies (PL and SP pressings) but never saw or heard of a Tuba WDJ for 'soul power' B/W 'sly girl'... That I always believed never to have been pressed up to be promoted as such on Tuba as I'm still incline to strongly believe the Stax (March 1968) to predate the Tuba Detroit release.

What a white demo ? Picture of that ? Never seen one and thought it only to be stocker... Not that I'd want one but just for the fact of it I'd like very much to see that.
