  1. That’s allot of tracks, great to see, but surely this a double Lp? Or is the CD the only way to get the ‘bonus’ tracks?
  2. Should we mention Mercury’s efforts to produce the thinnest styrene 45s possible, why bother with vinyl if you can use a different cheaper material to press with. Did styrene ever get used outside of the USA? I Can’t say I’ve ever come across a foreign styrene 45.
  3. Yeah there a few notorious releases on Trax that you never find nice copies of. That said allot are perfectly fine, all the early releases are better, it’s the later stuff by say 89, when Sherman started to heavily cut his production costs, he really didn’t care as long as the presses kept going. * actually I think he was just also trying to keep up with demand, which was mental to say the least.
  4. Light from the super moon in Allt-yr-Yn. No filters on this one, straight point and shoot.

  6. Interesting charcters in that video, Yann in the start, then James trouble at the end. I think that sounded like Chuck Jackson personally.
  7. I had one that had the labels the right way round, this is like the Servicemen on Pathway isn’t it, they did a few runs, as the first was labelled the wrong way round. Or maybe it was done incorrectly at different factories? think the Star Trek 45 was only one pressing plant though?

  12. Hi folks, just the one today. Percy and Them - Look in the Mirror of My Eyes/Trying to Find a New Love / Roulette WD VG+ £200 Great 7ts double header, some background clicks etc, nothing that over powers the music, most notible on the intro, Plays absolutly fine, Ive marked this VG+ but its a grade above that, swol, see scan, just a biro mark on the title of LITMOME. had this a long time, and its served me very well. ---- Postage: Special Delivery, £8.50 (Insured up to £750) within the UK. * If you are outside the UK, just tell me where and I'll quote you via PM. cheers Malc
  13. Just a punt, as I was listening to this this morning, has this ever been played on the Northern or Rare soul scenes, sounds like it might have made waves at Wigan and all that, although it does turn to a psych track very much, it's really good
  14. Lol, well 'Charlotte' just festooned that lot, so it aint worked has it...
  15. These are getting harder... Like the Stellas', you get top hat as does Candiman, I thought that was quite witty to be honest so to prove it CAN all be about the same girl, It aint Jody, hes a guy, but could be Suzie Q, or is that Suzie Rottencrotch? that whole thing is a minefield! anyhow... Carmel Covered Popcorn - Suzie Q Lanny Hunt - Suzie Q Johnny Copeland - Wake Up Little Susie Dickie Goodman - Ruthies Theme Dynamic Tints - Rosemarie Jeremy Steig - Howling for Judy Eddie Jefferson - Psychedelic Sally Flash McKinley - Milly Fred & The Turbins – Bernadine Gladys Knight & the Pips - Claudine The Yellow Payges - Frisco Annie The Dells - Nadine Junior Walker & The All Stars - My Girl Annie Wynder K. Frog - Oh Mary --- Darker Shades Ltd. - Trackin' Down Jody Duracha - Jody Is Gone
  16. I'd have to go with Craig above, best to wait it out to get the right copy at the right price. Like all of you, I fall off my chair a few times a week when I see, let's say optimistic pricing... I rarely do Auction bidding, and don’t use eBay any longer, all that business is a con. I've enough contacts and sites at set sale to nurture my addiction for lots of years to come. "Flowery prose is unnecessary hyperbole!" laughing, I love it! what does fook this actually mean??
  17. Hi folks, anybody have, or know who has a good stash of 8x10 Glossies, either orig James Kriegsmann ones, or other? Malc

  19. My daughter, "My love, can I take a picture?" No, I dont do pictures... Yuf of today....
  20. wow, Lee Brackett is a good one, you pulled that out!
  21. The Fawns - He’s Barbara’s Guy
  22. From me would be Rate Soul uncovered 3, with notes from Dave Flynn, and the Essential Detroit LP from goldmine with all those great label scans on the front. Notes were a bit thin on the vinyl release, CD got better notes and more tracks. The Sound of Detroit, double lp from goldmine, under the street lamp from goldmine, Black music is our business from Kent. final one which I play all the time is Soul Soldiers on Stax a mighty long that is…
  23. The very place, that was a good night
  24. So 'Construction' is your thing....? Good record, did you see that other track on SYNC6 on Tim's auction just now? 'The Parade' no where near as good, but I'd never seen another track on that label, interesting stuff. Best records on that auction for me, was Paul Smith, Ozz Sperlings & Mel britt. Sharon McMahan is very nice, but you can pick up equal late 7ts early 8ts tracks like that for very very little... think I'd plough through those first and settle for an mp3.
  25. I know, but it got a BIG boost again though didnt it. Those two CD's were essential purchases at the time, must have sold loads of copies. Anyhow, I have a feeling Gordon's dub is probably earlier, so maybe done shortly after 1992, just a guess of course..
