Well we discuss prices on here all the time, we all act surprised, chew the cud about whether its worth it, moan about the price, highlight those with endless wallets, decide we should give up collecting, Please strike out those that are not applicable. So you can imagine my internal thoughts at seeing Gene Woodbury this morning at £800, not a mint one either! I bought and sold a mint one two years back from this site and to somebody on this site, paid £250, sold for £250.... I know I dont go out on the 'Scene' and all that, but how the hell is it worth £800? Malcolm

The Age of Bronze - I'm Gonna Love You, just realised this actually came out twice on Guava, can anybody tell me whether either one is rarer than the other, and is there a difference in the flip sides, again is one better than the other in terms of sides? seems there is 15 seconds more on the earlier release? Hmmm, so I bought my issue having got the wrong end of the stick there certainly doesn't seem to be any method to this, Margie Joseph "one more chance" surfers from this, as does Charlene & The Soul Serenaders, but other discs dont, so would the producer at Stax/Volt be responsible for that decision? i.e what sides to demo, or is it pot luck?

Just saw a copy on Evil-bay, stated demo with "Snowflakes"as the flip, I always thought you had to get the issue for that coupling, and the demo had Snowflakes each side, as happens with allot of Volt demos. Anybody know, is this an east / west coast difference perhaps? the on on ebay looks west coast to me.. Mal

Were at it again, oh well... sheer madness isn't it... you would be a fool to buy any of these types (Classic northern) these days, I'd bide my time till the price comes down and go in search of brilliant cheapies, ie records that are not very well known which we will all be paying silly money for in a few years... actually with this track Id prefer the Kent single / reissue, have you heard the sound quality on that one!!! serious bass on the intro... so £10 for the Kent 45, or £2600 for the original... Saw Trade Martin go for £250 yesterday, thats got to be £50/75 over what its worth? Mal

Well, this just came through the post, and I really did kinda wonder whether it was my type of thing, with that beginning, this has had to grown on me a bit, but I'm gonna keep it... That said, once this hits the melodies... very cool track... J.B Bingham was defiantly not a one trick pony... great singer of all styles... Did he cut anything else other than the two UA singles we all know?

Coco & Ben - Good Feeling [Earth World], seen this come up a few times, maybe not as rare as the others in your list Kristoffer.... great record though.. anybody remember Demetrice Faire – Young Girl, copies were about some years ago, but haven't seen one in ages, not mega rare but certainly one thats disappeared... Sorry Dave T, but 'I lost you girl - Sir George', has to be one of the most boring records I ever bought, semi rare Id say, they seem to turn up every so often... Mal.C
