Instrumentals - Bovvered?
Love Instrumentals, my favorite one depending on whether Ive got my sixties or seventies head on, either The Muscle Shoals Swampers - House For Sale or Detroit Rhythm Section - I Know Something, that one Andy Rix and Dave Flynn still have Covered Up!!! And this week, cause Richard Serling opened his show with it the other week: The Three Degrees - Reflections of yesterday... absolutely Brilliant... also The Nite-Liters- K-Jee, which I was surprised to find out was a Wigan play, and Liberty - Girl You Better Wake Up... you live and learn. I'd suggest checking out some of the early 100 club anni singles, remember there are one or two good ones here.. Mal:-))

Tomangoes Acetate ?
Well said, you all spend far far too much on your tunes IMO, if you look else where, i.e for records that are not trendy, known and all that, they are always cheap.. new to the ears, sound great, fun to listen to, and again cheap, whats not to like... I'll spend money on certain originals for my classic northern soul collection, but the other collections that I have need to be fed regularly, and that is done on a budget for all the right reasons... with Aussie I can chase the big northern tunes on Aussie labels, but you lot out there are pushing the price of those up now, so collecting the lesser known 7ts stuff that came out over there for $5 bucks a go, pretty much always makes sense to me... I bought 'Laura Lee - Since I fell for you' on Aussie Hot Wax the other day for exactly $5 bucks... then Richard Serling played it on the second part of his show the other week, Glory be!!! I'm doing the right thing... !!! Malcolm

Della Reese A Clock That's Got No Hands / (Outta Sight)

Della Reese A Clock That's Got No Hands / (Outta Sight)
Just saw this and thought Wow, they did that one.. I've never bought an Outta site 45, I see them listed obviously but know nothing about the label really, but anybody know when this came out, it is brand new? Reminds me of the 9ts, great record this, which I know certainly had allot of folk who also hated it, was big at the same time as Gale Garnett, around then... Not an expensive track is it on RCA, but suppose it makes it easy for the ten quid soul collectors... each to their own, but great music!! Mal

Your Favourite 100 Club Single
Here's a good thread from the past, 2006 to be precise.. so we're eight years on, and there have been eight more fabulous editions to this collection of releases, do folk still have the above as their favorites? I'd have to go with: The Hytones - Good News | San Francisco T.K.O.'s | Melba Moore | Carla Thomas, and Mill Evans cause I was one of the small plethora who was on the floor when Ady first spun it... and always had a soft spot for The Devonnes - Doin The Gittin Up... Are There B Sides You Still Haven't Played?
here's one I mentioned recently on here, but its perfect example.. had this 45 for years and only turned it over last couple months... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MJ67umHoimE Its been said above there are thousands, but here are a couple favorites that have very famous 'Northern Soul' other sides, to be honest I prefer most of these cuts to their 'Norther' other, but hey its all great music.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OSN1Omys1GY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bwDWDFU4sxs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wNVr0hRAyUA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KWCbOe-ViWw mal

Just Arrived In The Post (Or Just Bought)
Just got Johnny Wyatt - This Thing Called Love, last time I got that it was £7 or there about, of Joe Dunlop... but I'm a happy man again... this and Bobby Reed - I'll Find a Way... not trendy and all that anymore but I know I'll have hours of enjoyment playing those two..also got 'Corporation Of One - The Real Life' which is the version to get of Raven Maize hit record by Joey Negro... got a great break beat throughout!! Good music dont go out of fashion... but crap music does, very quickly.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6QeNql4KxIM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eYCWhZ6OqGk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1bT9ucLWN5I

Has anybody ever worked out whats actually going on int his record, I mean in relation to the words, is she just a gal, meeting a guy at a motel, or is she a hooker? opening words, whats your hurry baby, but then she says treating me like Im for sale, which I guess is not from the point of view of a hooker... dunno, its always made me wonder when i listen to it.. what do folk think>? m
