Connections with a mystery ending.
The Tra-San Production on the Icemen is George Kerr and named after his daughters apparently. As you say some heavyweights involved in the writing & production.

Connections with a mystery ending.
As it says in the other topic.... Tan Geers: Cora Boykins (replaced by Elaine Jones) , Bobby Covington, Richard Quarles, Earle Beale and Bill Hagie TNJ's: Al Stroman, Joe Anderson, Barry Higginbotham, James Gost and Elijah Jones. There is nothing to suggest they are remotely connected except they both have a connection with Plato Productions (Ron Bollon, Plato Theophilos). Excellent reading Kegsy. I'll have another read in a bit to digest it a bit more.

Capitol Soul Club
Got one tape and two track listings from two other tapes given away at the nights in London. I've transferred the one by Jo and gathered the tracks together to do the other two. The first is one compiled by Jo Wallace and the second by Greg McAlinney. I'm just sorting a third done by Simon Humphrey.

New release - Hit and Run 45 - The Delreys
I think it is a fab release and the flip is simply superb. Trouble with the original, for a record that isn't really rare it has been taken away from the pockets of most by people paying daft prices, too many Djs wanting it. This is one I have bought, I have all the releases on the label, not that I will play it out mind.

The Best Of Margie Joseph and Hurt Of The City LPs
Kent always to my knowledge done test presses. A mate had the early Anniversary ones on test press and I’ve seen these the before for other releases. Kent/ace promos were as far as I know the standard issue. @Ady Croasdell will tell you more.

Information appreciated
The record has been played pretty much constantly throughout my time and its massive again these days.
-
Information appreciated
The promo is a boot though, well not an original. Only ever released with the Lp on the blue/green label.

US Postal Service COVID-19 Restrictions
Makes you wonder what its been doing in Chicago for 20 days. I know times are not normal but freight is still moving and 20 days does seem excessive. Like you say hopefully they will be with us soon.

Should you dance Northern to Motown?
I doubt Richard holds that view today, maybe back then as much of the Motown released then was pop/mor, chart based rather than a lot of the soulful stuff that has turned up since from the vaults
