Same track Matt. I Need A Helping Hand/Are you Angry on Wind Hit came first. Got little interest on hawking it round the various labels so Hadley released it himself. The group then cut 4 more tracks in October 1967 and My Turn was released alongside I Need A Helping Hand on Patheway. The Patheway release had three presses, Cartoon with labels reversed, labels the right way and the plain orange release. Wind Hit very rare with it is believed just 200 copies pressed. All the historical evidence suggests £150. If you put up a want and said £500 waiting you’d probably have got dozens of offers of a copy, absolutely barmy. The market is getting more and more skewed everyday.

Because usually European dealers think you wont pay the postage from the US and mark the disc up or add the US postage thinking you buy from a Brit regardless. Same with just about any record on discogs, Brit dealers at the bottom of the list as the most expensive.

It is a delta numbering system used by Monarch, it isn’t exclusively used by them nor did they own it. Each pressing company that use it will have their own stamp, Monarch has MR in a circle. Alco has an “a” with a large L that goes into a c with an inside the c. These stamps will be followed by the delta sign, a triangle and then the delta number from which you can date the press. Its also wrong to believe that if something is common it wouldn’t be booted. On this (the northern soul) scene, that may be the case. But many hits in the US were counterfeited and thats where the crimianls made a lot of money selling then with the buter believing they had bought a legit company release. Their is plenty of evidence of Motown records being counterfeited at the time they were charting.

Just looked, from your wants I have 19, 33, 34, 40...I have issue 30 somewhere too. Make me an offer, not after anything silly either. I have other copies 35 onwards up to 69 I think, some missing in between though.

Where are the details of the show at the 100 Club? There is northing on the 100 Club site nor can I find out anything online?

It is ok saying a dance floor killer but I don’t know anyone who has had the belief in the record to persevere with it. Everyone wants instant floor fillers and just drop other stuff. It has worked in the past and its had a good reaction at Lifeline to a like minded crowd. Even though the record has been around a long time it is still reletively unlnown to the majority who seem to want only what they know.
