  1. It went for £700 plus in an auction in 2003 ish, been biggie since Arthur played it 2002. There is a guy who got the stock from the label, he had quantity and by the looks of it one or two others had a few too. There was only one Joseph Webster in the find which was auctioned a couple of moo nth or so ago, £6000 or so.
  2. I reckon you could get £200. One sold today pretty quickly for £150.
  3. Yes or is it 18"? Andy Dyson has one, no idea what is on it as nothing will play it.

Just watching them perform Green Onions, magic. Booker T one cool dude
  5. I got 250 for a copy but that was a while back. Think the last one I saw was £200 or thereabouts.

I've yet to watch but most of the comments I have read aren't very complimentary, in particular Tom Jones.
  7. If that is the case then the search continues
  8. The photo came from Andy Spencer. He looks very much like the one in the advert.
  9. Silky on the right with Rufus Thomas on the left.
  10. The Black Pearl release came out twice, Black Pearl 711, plain font label design.
  11. Tribulations "Promises"
  12. I asked elsewhere the other day and got three photos I think. Will find them over the weekend.

listen to summit else then I agree with your earlier comment though and don't get blinkered, loads of great music out there that hasn't been tainted by the northern soul tag.

Anything played at a Northern Soul night of which not many G-S-H songs will be featured. I don't disagree that he is so so soulful.

But this isn't about our taste is it, the guy is after Northern and being pretty new to the music it won't sound dated.

Oh I do, I can take him or leave him for a start. We are also talking about collecting Northern Soul of which IMO G-S-H has done very few that can be classed as such....just the one really.

Huge amount of records out there for those on a tight budget though but you are right enjoy the music first and foremost.

If you are new to this you won't need any recommendations, you find dozens yourself by the week. There are some good sellers and dealers out there. However, Most aren't cheap, they want the going rate more often than not, many are top whack cause they paid that. Do your homework and look round. Ask any question not matter how daft it might seem. the internet is a great resource, use it to your advantage.

Buy the Lp for not much more.
  22. Both went to Dartford Grammar School and Godin introduced Jagger to R&B, apparently.

don't dismiss the likes of discogs, best place to buy Lps really if that is what you are collecting. Recommendations are fine but take time to look around. Shops for instance have overheads and can be a little more expensive. Put up wants here, and various Facebook groups, usually someone will satisfy most wants.
