  1. Interesting piece from the article..... According to the BPI, there were approximately 45 billion audio streams in 2016 - the equivalent of the UK's 27 million households each listening to 1,500 songs over the course of the year. In December, more than a billion streams were served in a single week for the first time. To put that in context, the UK is now streaming more songs in a week than it did in a month just three years ago. The above doesn't include youtube and the like.
  2. Spotify is free but has an advert every few plays, bearable. I have amazon prime and I get unlimited streaming in the package.
  3. There is a vinyl issue of this
  4. I would imagine the West Coast press with the delta number isn't pressed at Shelley but at Monarch or Alco? The Shelley press, East Coast? has an Audio Matrix stamp in the run out.
  5. I am a member and free to post where I like. My comment was made two hours ago and not in response to anything you said The photo is of the vinyl boot as you have been made aware.
  6. Records don't just revolve round the Northern Soul scene. Could've been done for another collecting scene???? Plenty of cheap and readily available records bootlegged, or more accurately counterfeited.
  7. There is a history of bootlegging or should I say counterfeiting in the States of newly released material including Motown top sellers sold as original new stock. Quite a few book mention it.
  8. It bubbled under at No. 133 April 23rd 1966. I can't find another billboard entry with a quick search, a more thorough one night show something.
  9. Really sad news. R.I.P. Steve.
  10. I recently had a couple of Lps off him, Vg grading and hardly a mark on them, similar over hear would have been Ex.
  11. I would imagine that is due to copyright. Doesn't it run out in the US after 50 years, that is why Motown issue these before it runs out. Doesn't the copyright last longer here, 70 years???
  12. No, it was a US dealer whose name I forget at the minute. He move to one of the Scandinavian countries if memory serves at one point.
  13. Don't remember it being covered up, Billy Davidson I believe the first to play it around the time of the Berwick Upon Tweed weekenders. How many copies dos you reckon? There was 25 in the little find early 2000s, the odd couple or so about prior to this and those since......
  14. Listening to the first 1min 15 secs there are no pops or jumps and what background crackle etc is gone with the music. Sounds a pretty decent copy for a Vg- grading. His grading does say "MAY HAVE". But like you say it is a lot of money and I would have put a full sound file up or I would want to hear the full file before parting with any money. It isn't like the track isn't out there so a full file wouldn't have mattered.
  15. There was I think 25 from the original little find back in the early 2000's, plus the odd one or two all ready out there and those found since. Still very rare in the grand scheme of things.
  16. If only Brits graded like funkyou......would be VG++ here
  17. Just goes to prove what we knew all along, eBay do not care that it is giving bootleggers a market place. Bootleg the first word in the description.
  18. must be at least £1k
  19. Hi Kev. It would seem Bobby was not one to miss an opportunity to make a quick buck. Certainly got some mileage out of this track. Great record too.
  20. The Zea release (King Of Hearts) was the same line up as the New Younghearts, without checking they were a different line up to the Canterbury group which recorded A Little Togetherness. I had it many years ago, the grey matter is not like it was, is it a newer recording or just another later reissue under the guise of the new group? P.S. Just checked youtube...sounds like a reissue under the guise of the KOHs
  21. I have a VG+ copy, will sort a scan and sound file out.
  22. is this them... https://www.ebay.com/sch/burl*one/m.html?item=391654406493&hash=item5b306bf95d%3Ag%3AcpoAAOSwXAJYWBpV&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562
  23. Can't believe the Esquires is still there, one of the best albums. No bumping of mate's ads please. Surprised Incredibles not gone. ROD PS Oops sorry, wasn't a bump, just genuinely surprised!
  24. Merry Christmas and a Soulful Happy 2017 to you all. Chalky
