Various El-Deons photos, tickets and newspaper clippings (some already used in the article) from the collection of photographs and memorabilia owned by Larry Banks.

I doubt it is worth too much with the vinyl being cheap and common. Would be of interest to someone who collects this type of stuff.

He might have kept the source secret but it has been no secret that he has had or got quantity.....been obvious for some time now. Fair few copies about before his find as well.

The drum and sticks carving you refer to is the stamp used by the mastering company Artisan.

As Steve said, John told us at Cleethorpes it was an engineer he got the copies from.

That one was the one that was on ebay twomor three years ago. The buyer then sold it via JM auction. The Winner of that auction then resold it later via JM.

They told me there is a minimum three month wait at pressing plants.

I was told theee or four weeks ago they had been pressed and had arrived at the office, they were then taking them to the distributor.

Have you tried ace records? If they are still in print they will be on there, or amazon or discogs.

I was there Steve but my memory not as good....I'd had more than are beers I do remember him saying he took a finger full and that he could/would go back for the others.

UK prices are often ridiculous, you only have to look at discogs to realise that UK sellers do not care what is happening around them. They are often two three and four times dearer than foreign sellers on discogs so a UK seller trying to get twice as much as this is selling for on eBay doesn't surprise me. Two copies of the Pinkertones soldon ebay within the last month or so by the same seller for I think $117 and $137.

the seller I mention above is from Inglewood....I've seen several of his sales so he could be a good place to start, looks like the same scan too for each sale.

three on eBay now, two in the US one in the UK. Two having a laugh with price considering the amount for sale recently, one has starting price of $99 which I doubt I would pay anymore than that to be honest.

The car broke down at the beginning of the week....didn't get fixed till Thursday so I made good use of those three days by writing this, full time job Many thanks everyone for the comments, they are much appreciated.

Having a root round Steve G says the label went bust for the first time when this was recorded...the engineer hadn't been paid and kept around 200 records. John A took 8 of them, the rest...who knows, certainly a few copies made there way over but the rest who knows? Might still be sat in that box somewhere waiting to be found!

Wigan as well as Cleethorpes. Richard says he played it on the way back from Soul Bowl after collecting it in Kettering on a Friday night.

I know John said he took what he could get on his finger but wasn't the label being shut down, everything in the skip etc? The engineer had a box of these (25).....some alcohol had been consumed during the conversation

I remember John Anderson telling us the story of how he found this...the studio engineer (I think) had a box and John took what he could get on his finger, the rest skipped along with everything else from the studio I believe.
