Truthful Feedback
If it is constructive and not a slagging then it shouldn't be too much of an upset. I agree n o one likes to read something negative about an event a promoter has put a lot of work into but surely it should be of benefit in the long run. I've read reviews from some and I think I was at a different venue at the time despite being with said person.

Truthful Feedback
If someone reads that a night was full and it wasn't then I would like to think they would say so.

Truthful Feedback
I can't think of any negative feedback being removed by any Mods? Sure Martin will be along to confirm as such. We only step in if the negative is blatant slagging off with little effort of a review in sight. Constructive criticism should be welcomed? I personally like to read all reviews good or bad, the bad as long as it is constructive. I'm sure any like minded promoter, although not liked is open to constructive criticism, otherwise how do you improve? If you have any criticism of any event you have attended there is nothing to stop you posting what you feel is wrong, as long as it is constructive and you give a reason.

Weekenders....is There A Demand For A Rare Soul Weekender?
I remember John Mill's weekenders. Llandudno was the venue for one if I remember rightly. Excellent weekenders they were, DJ'ed at a couple.

Auction Results Vs. Manship
you only have to look at popsike to see the range in prices paid for some records, like Bob said sometimes on the same day. So many dealers and collectors alike have given up on ebay as well. How many times do you see two lunatics trying to outbid each other for a particular record. If an auction was the only source and the records were one offs, bit like a painting then yeah I'd agree with you. But you only have to see what dealers price a particualr record, professional and part time dealers at that. The shop floor so to speak is the best indicator of a price.

Radio City Records From San Diego
99.9% certain the other New Yorkers exists and I've seen it, long time ago. I was sure I'd seen a copy with all the label intact but it was JM who I'm sure who last had the one with the label missing who said it was a one known copy. I'll see if I can find the topic where we discussed it. PS Just read Robb's post.

Auction Results Vs. Manship
I find Gemm expensive simply because of the charges added by Gemm. I used to go direct to the Gemm seller. Many seem to be moving to Discogs as well these days.

Auction Results Vs. Manship
It works both ways. Many auction items from whichever auction can often be found cheaper with a dealer, not just JM but most dealers. You also find auction items that sell for a pittance or less than the market value but a dealer will have it on offer at the full market value. Auctions have never really been a true reflection of a records real value. Sales boxes, lists and dealer prices are a better reflection of a 45's worth, that is where more buying and selling is done.

What Do Think To This Then Is Some Going To Be Lucky
I see it is in France, if that is right he got it from Luckey Davis himself, more than one...or should I say some were sold to someone in France. Luckey was selling one last week in a presentation case. Think I asked on here a while back if anyone was interested in one.
