Solid Solution-Think About It Girl
I'm sure I read something recently with regard to a Solid Solution title-"Think about it girl" as a Soul"O"Sonic album track? (I may be dreaming alas). Anyway to cut to the chase I came across a 45 of the item, which I appreciate is not the "real deal" so to speak but am interested to know what the story is on it, if anyone can help, I'd be grateful? cheers wilxy

Remember Otis
I remember first listening to the Otis Blue album for the first time......blew me away My favourite tracks by him are I've been loving you too long, and the awesome Try a little tenderness, and as rightly previously mentioned with him having been taken from us so early, it beggars belief to what his passing has deprived us of.....RIP Sir....

Sad News Dave McCadden RIP
Indeed the fella was a class act, and I was simply chuffed to engage in his humorous correspondence, which would contain cut-out pictures of "current female personalities" on the packaging of his fanzines....An absolute true character amongst many long gone which is more the pity......RIP Dave

Compass Club
The Compass club is responsible for my long-lasting" relationship" with the "northern" soul phenomenon! Whilst on one of our regular holiday jaunts to Torquay, we used to frequent the Compass most nights during our stay, and although we used to go to the top floor for the more funkier/commercial stuff, my ex-wife stumbled upon the middle floor (not literally) where the music and the dancing was invigoratingly upbeat.......The rest is history so to speak, and that was either late 1973 or early 1974.......... seems like only yesterday...........

Cellar Full Of Motown Volume 4
From a personal perspective, and moreover from a Motown enthusiasts point of view, whilst eagerly anticipating volume 4's release, on first hearing, whilst undoubtedly there are several standout tracks, IMHO overall I was disappointed with the blandness with regard the bulk of the playlist....
