  3. I'll stick to one, as the thread title suggests, and having heard it played "out" last weekend, just reminded me of how good it was loud..... Whole lot of shakin' in my heart (since I met you)- The Miracles.....

  6. Oo-err Tezza, whilst I share in particular the Burnley "ethos" with your goodself,....If work allows I wouldn't mind the "musical fayre" that the forthcoming Coventry "doo" in particular, should offer as it's both pretty local, and Sounds pretty awesome, irrelevant of what time it starts or finishes.(wish there was more of this ilk that I knew about personally!)...The DJ line up sounds pretty decent also ....The point is I suppose, is in reference to "doing exactly what it says.. etc..." cheers wilxy

  9. Mossy, If they've got to push you around on that old delapidated machine in your avitar for 6 months it's a wonder they're still walkin' matey
  10. I thought my all-nighter "experience" was finally over following personal events at the start of the new millenium, whilst considering my original jaunts to Wigan,Sheffield (Samanthas), and Yate, in the seventies, which were only interspersed by intermittent forays to Stafford, etc in the eighties, (due to paternal responibilities),and latterly in the nineties Winsford, Keele, and the 100 club.......However, much to my own amazement, within the last two years, whilst possibly due for "enforced" retirement and settling for the odd Soul night here and there, have rediscovered the original zest, for all things "uptempo", (moreover 60's uptempo)particularly due mainly to my personal piece of "Soul Heaven" that is the Kestrel Suite Burnley.....(There are several other niter venues worthy of note, and which having attended,) and whilst my musical taste, from a vinyl collectors perspective spans most eras and sub-genres Soulwise.....It is Burnley that has re-ignited the "flickering flame" that otherwise would have possibly dimmed for good.........Whilst appreciating the thread title, and furthermore apologies for slight diversity..........."never say never"

Without "beating about the bush",and having frequented the venue on many occasions over its duration, and taking on board the"warts and all" experiences personally encountered, I for one am grateful of the "privelige", that has had so much influence on my "social life" to date and for one have no regrets for the overall experience. ...I do wonder however how much, critics who never actually had the opportunity first hand, tend to somewhat knock the place...... they may have never had the opportunity of actually visiting......just an observation.....
  21. Absolutely superb thread which throws up both valid and diverse opinion! especially from a sellers perspective......but alas is only determined by the buyers willingness or ability to pay the asking price! Unfortunately ability often comes a poor second to willingness, and budget is a key factor.....however sometimes the "find after the chase" is more rewarding.....particularly when achieved at a "snip".......The "truth" is out there.......
