  1. Perhaps I'll start just posting six and a half minute long AI generated videos in future , I'm sure they take up much less space ... !
  2. None of this booking hotels for the following day to recover twaddle ... This is how I remember everyone looking and feeling coming out into the oh so bright Oxford St sunshine at 8am before jumping in the motor and heading off for a Sunday session to finish the weekend. (Insert location/venue of your choosing) ...
  3. Seen a few decent images but predominantly from far north in a very brief time window , I've a friend in Orkney right now and even she struggled to see much. Most of the photos I saw from down south were just clouds lit from underneath by light pollution by sadly delusional folk. Looks promising again for tonight apart from the obvious elephant coloured thing ... !
  4. Colin's a member on here , but hasn't been here since October last year , another sad loss for the site ... @Lawman Just in case he pops his head in for some reason.
  5. So why start another identical moany thread a fortnight later ... ?
  6. My eyes tell me it's the later boot , the clarity of the print isn't quite right to me epecially in the "Robert Melling Inc." and "Phil Medley .... part and the left hand knave's forehead has a tatty setion between his snout and hat rim. The corners of all the lettering aren't sharp and crisp as on all four of the images of the real versions on Discogs.
  7. Google's a wonderful tool ...
  8. Another heads up for tomorrow night 1st September as a large face on CME that left the Sun on the 30th August is due to arrive here around 21:00 give or take. No promises but as the eastern side of the UK looks to have largely clear skies it's worth keeping an eye out. For those on the western side there's less chance of seeing anything aurora-wise but that's why you're there to soak up the cloud and rain from the Atlantic before it gets over to the blessed ones over here.
  9. "A bit off the mark" is a very polite phrase for what is complete and utter fabrication , there is a more accurate term for it but forum rules prevent me from typing it ...
  10. The 'first ever gig as the Beatles' tale is pure fantasy , skipped the rest after that.
  11. "The Breakfast Patrol" My Movie.mp4
  12. Well here's proof positive of the trouble that A.I. can cause ... BBC News'AI slop': Musicians on the mystery of fraudsters releasi...Artists on the mystery of being targeted by fraudsters releasing "AI slop" songs in their name.
  13. I never imagined that an unsuccesful quest to photograph the Red Arrows would have resulted in the best half an hour I've ever had the pleasure to spend in the company of a pair of Red Kites ... 😮 Shot from the top of the hill at Gazeley in Suffolk with the Canon EOS 90D and Sigma 150-600mm Comtemporary combo. A few of the 70 stills and the whole lot in a Flikr Album ... https://www.flickr.com/photos/76292235@N05/albums/72177720328547739/
  14. Caught this beastie practicing for the upcoming Duxford airshow , heard him coming and managed to rattle off a few dozen frames catching a perfectly timed roll ... 😍 Knocked up another slideshow.
  15. Eight divided by two equals a truly magnificent spectacle ...... ... when the 'eight' happen to be Rolls-Royce Merlins and the 'two' are a pair of Avro Lancasters sharing the same airspace. It was 2014 when the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum's "VERA" , on what may well have been her last visit to these shores , teamed up with out very own PA474 to thunder around the skies and delight the thousands that got to witness the sight of two Lancasters in the skies together for many a decade. I shot around 150 frames of the pair at Little Gransden Airshow on August 24th that year and have only just got round to putting them together in a slideshow ... !
  16. I would never gauge it as £10k rare. Shifty even lent Sooty a copy to play when he was "resurrecting the scene" in the 90's FFS ... (And he probably never got it back as happened with a friend's copy of Jimmy Fraser)
  17. Hi Dave , Most of them are still on display on John's site still , you just need to scroll down to find them ... Must have lots of slow payers this week ...
  18. Finally got round to doing something with all my photos of XH558 at Little Gransden Airshow in 2014. First airshow with a camera in hand , Canon 1000D , stock 75-300mm lens in manual focus. First few frames caught me off-guard but soon caught up. Tomorrow's task is playing with the shots of VERA and PA474's eight Merlin magic.
  19. Harrison William Pennington
  20. If the producer , arranger , writer , engineer , band arrived at a finished product to be pressed then why would you think you know better ... ? I used to have similar discussions when 'graphic equalisers' were all the rage and all of a sudden everyone was a sound engineer , generally a deaf one at that ...
  21. And a lookalike thingy for a tenner ... https://www.soulfulrecords.co.uk/kiki%20dee%20on%20a%20magic%20carpet%20ride%20fontana
  22. The finish date for that particular item is next Wednesday , the 20th August ...
  23. Just sat down in the jungle with a coffee and there was a sudden chorus of multiple Red Kites behind me. I regular as clockwork have a pair patrolling the area but today Mr and Mrs Milvus had three kids tagging along ... !!! I've never seen five together before round here so was especially pleased that for once I had the camera next to me ready to go ... 😀 Couldn't fit all five in the frame at once with the 150-600 unfortunately and there was no time to go indoors and switch glass but managed to get the three noisiest ones together while , I assume , Ma and Pa were off on their own. All in all a very pleasant five minutes to start the day ... 😍
