  1. "Top Gun : Maverick" Please don't waste any of your hard-earned on going to see or streaming this ... It's truly dreadful ... 🤬 If you still feel the need to endure it then watch it online on a free site ... I won't go all Mark Kermode on it , just don't say you weren't warned ...
  2. Thread already running on this subject ...
  3. Here are a few shots I took of the two Lancasters together in the sky from Little Gransden Airshow back in August 2014 ...
  4. Am I missing something ... ? That's a Hercules. You'd need a slightly longer focal length to see two Lancasters in the air as there are only two flying examples in the world and "Vera" is in Hamilton , Ontario ... she and our own BBMF Lanc haven't been in the air together since 2014.

LP only ... well it was originally ... loads on Discogs ... https://www.discogs.com/release/3431786-Various-From-The-Vaults 'Twas the first tune I ever heard at an all-nighter at the Wirrina in '81 so fond memories of a great song ...
  6. According to Popsike , something slightly north of the £26 it made six years ago ...

  8. Just read of the passing of Lt. Uhura aged 89 ... Thought I'd share the news here as she had a single that attracted some interest on the soul scene. https://variety.com/2022/tv/news/nichelle-nichols-dead-star-trek-the-original-series-1235330159/
  9. Think there's 5 or 6 Karl , the one John's got up at the moment is definitely one of the weaker takes ...
  10. Well I've seen some rather questionable descriptions on John's site in the past but the way he's bigging-up the weak Session Two recording is the best yet. It sits at £2800+ at present and lawd knows where it'll end , there must be some desperate folk out there , the issue's 'only' about £1600-2000 now surely. Might start thinking about letting my Session One Take One 8" acetate go at this rate , it's a much better ballsier cut ... I think it's also time I donated my Mum's hearing aids to YKW ... https://www.raresoulman.co.uk/hayes-cotton-black-wings-has-my-angel-the-miles-grayson-2nd-session-audio-disc-acetate.html https://soundcloud.com/woodbutcher-2/hayes-cotton-black-wings-has-my-angel-session1-take-1
  11. Watched it last night ... Still available on BBC iPlayer for another 27 days ... https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m0019n5y/the-mule

    Male version of Barbara Acklin.
  13. No need for Netflix , plenty of free sites out there with a better choice of viewing matter ...
  14. No problem whatsoever , I just find it strange that folk get surprised when they hear their precious tunes outside of the setting they usually hear then in , as if they have some sort of exclusive hold over the records/tunes like some kind of secret caretakers ...
  15. Who'd have thunk it eh , american tv producers using american soul tunes in their programmes , how very dare they ...
  16. Not my image obviously , but one I have to share nevertheless ... The first deep image from the James Webb Space Telescope , Webb’s image covers a patch of sky approximately the size of a grain of sand held at arm’s length by someone on the ground – and reveals thousands of galaxies in a tiny sliver of vast universe . Click on and scroll back 13 billion years .... all this from just 12.5 hours integration ...
  17. Gary Rushbrooke ... ?
  18. Got any pictures of it sir ?
  19. Open a Mixcloud account , upload to there and then post a link on here ...
  20. In every disco on the planet ...
  21. And there was me resisting the urge to mention it ...
  22. The definition of insanity is "Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."
  23. SP , MO , PL ... Speciality , Monarch and Plastic Products , three different pressing plants .
  24. Wasn't watching Glastonbury as I was down in the London Stadium with Anthony , John , Chad and Flea ... But it was their backing band actually gave the performance of the evening though ... "Anderson .Paak and the Free Nationals" Superb funky soulful dancers every one ... if you get the chance go see them ....
