  1. I was told by a big name DJ ( a proper one who graces many premier events) that he did a 'Rare Soul' night as guest DJ 50 miles from his home. It was poorly attended so the promoter didn't pay him. Needless to say he won't be doing that venue again without payment upfront! Well, to be honest he told the promoter to stick it where the sun doesn't shine.

The original came out on 'Home of the Blues' label and is certainly worth considerably more than £100

  16. I've attached scans of both sides - they both have some light ringwear. PLEASE NOTE THE SCANS ARE CORRECT NOT TWO FELLOWS!!!!!!! The styrene has lots of marks but nothing deep. Let's make it last has crackling on lead in and deadwax both plays with problem once the music starts. The B side does play with some light crackle but nothing overpowering. Probably rates VG+ visually but A side play EX Two copies of this have sold for around £400 in the last few weeks. 20. The thing is;- when we went to the Wheel, Torch, early Mecca etc, no one had cameras, all the money was spent on green & clears, 45s, entrance fees, bus /train tickets, Levis, Ben Shermans and getting 'rolled'! Therefore very few ( if any) photos survive pre '72. I rest my case M'Lud

  24. Noticed that there appears to be two different labels on Smash. One has SMASH printed vertically on the left of the label and the other has SMASH and Mercury in an oval shape, again printed vertically and on the left. Are they both originals and if not, which came first. Cheers
