Let's be honest dilyiid really isn't part of the scene at all, I haven't heard it for years and any event I attend it would empty the floor quicker than an approaching russian conscription official. Don't believe it a bad record but just not cool for school.

If a much loved underplayed on the mainstream media suddenly got very popular would we automatically disown it. Just thinking aloud really. Is sometimes/mostly our love of records on our scene due to the record itself or the fact it's our little secret.🤔

The idea that certain groups of people are div's because they dress a certain way or dance a certain way always amuses me, have you ever thought what punks thought of soulies or other youth cultures made of us. Following your heart and love don't make you a div. Divs don't care for their families or rob old people. Great discussion though, plenty of interest stemming from a div record.🤣😉

Rejig of past events is a somewhat dangerous thought process, nine times out of ten was of its moment and filled the floors. We really need to appreciate tastes can change but it's impossible to change the past. Not having a go at you just stating my views.

I wouldn't worry about it, although social media has some benefits ie the likes of soulsource , my view is it's created a bunch of cowards who hide behind a keyboard and post the kind of bs they would never say to your face. I would speak directly to the person involved because people are so different when face to face. Good luck.

Have actually done a Saturday night at a Boston soul do with some friends and found it welcoming and a good evening. We travel about and normally find people happy you have made an effort to travel to the do. If your not a regular it's fairly obvious you will get noticed but curiosity doesn't necessarily mean contempt.

Don't see them as a problem, good weekenders will survive. People tend to flit to these fringe events in the afternoon. Always been pubs near to the main event running ns events to pull in customers.

I take that point, just think the vest and baggies thing gets over used.
