It was you who drew my attention to it Mark so thank you. I had noticed in the past and had PM'd some individuals asking them not to do it but better to have it laid down. I didn't think it happened too often but an "empty" ad is a waste of space on here. ROD

I've updated the Sales guidelines today to draw attention to the habit on the part of some posters to remove all information from ads once a 45 has been sold in Sales or a 45 obtained via Wants. From now on please leave the ads untouched other than to edit them to say "SOLD" or "SORTED" or whatever. For example as Benji has done here The ads build up into a reference for other members to consult as to prices etc in the same way as John's or Tim's guides. Thank you ROD [sales Forum Moderator]

I've just returned a 45 today to a seller on here. My mate bought it. He wasn't happy. Showed it to another member on here and then brought it round to me to have a look as moderator. It was graded EX++ . Am I alone in thinking that should be Mintish ? Instead numerous marks and light scratches, WOL [someone's name albeit small], label not clean IMO, plays with crackles esp b-side. I really can't fathom how it could be graded EX++ when I'd judge it to be VG. It cost £6.95 to return and Im sure he paid the same to receive it. So £13.90 out of pocket if postage costs are not refunded. To be honest Im just speechless. ROD

Im sure I've mentioned this before but when I was at Bob Cattaneo's around 1980 he had Eddie Foster in lots of different colour vinyls. You could match with your curtains. ROD

I know I should get exercised about all this but whilst old boots seem to be sold by everybody, and the only eyebrow raised is the price some fetch, then I just see it as a double standard. Only thing that seperates them is time. And I have 2 boots of Mayfield Singers and Jimmy Ruffin. Only way I could get on vinyl. And yes I have Ruffin CD. So now and again the bootleggers do provide a service which the legit companies dont. ROD
