did the kenny gamble ever get issued.....great version of the track previously done by the drifters..saw an acetate once for sale (manship) but i dont think ive seen a finished copy

coz pat wants a million quid for it

i got a 45 the other week in a moerer style bullet proof box. but when i opened the box the record was just pushed into the box and crushed with screwed up pages of a usa glossy magazine and no stiffeners. the mint unplayed store stock 45 that was in the box arrived cracked................but it wasnt done in transit

and laura`s version is original version........only on the issue and doesnt crop up much these days......didnt stop me sellin it last year tho had dells like about 6 times and i`m not a dealer.. still got this four tops 7in.....its ok i spoze you can get laura on a 12 hope its not as bad a four tops 12

theres 2 copies on ebay one is the same as the music stack copy and another in france for £70.....but they are not selling... both dutch issues..is there anything on the lp that could be played out thats where any demand could come from. the miracles split in 1978 and thats probably why the lp never surfaced.... the single `mean machine` was a small soul hit in 78 though ( no55) strange how it crept out in holland ...i think its been issued on cd also cant find any info on a mexico copy

0ne on music stack for £38....rare as it maybe what tracks are on it is there any demand outside of a hardened smokey/miracles collector....this copy is dutch

following on from yesterdays performance with a usa seller i told them in no uncertain terms NOT to put the full value on the packet as not only will i get hammered in tax its an advertisment to steal said package,,,,,they said they never thought of it like that and have a greed to put $30 on it now rather than 500.....ive still paid registered post tho

yes thats correct chris... i emailed the seller to put him straight.. he says he had lots of pm`s of similar ilk so it must be true

copy went on ebay for about the same a couple of weeks ago..so maybe thats the bench mark......rare 45 though

i shouldnt worry about it.. most of the dancers are very old and must rest from time to time

the song was published in 1966 and released in 1967 the boot at the top says 1971 on it.... it was also re-released in the uk in 71( tmg 788) is there a proper usa counterpart to this uk issue and is that it in the 1st post and is it a bootleg of a reissue

at the other end of the scale...i just bought something for 500$ and the guy wants to charge me $50 dollars post and put the full value on the packet so that means i`ll get stung another $70 when 45 arrives..i bid $500 not $620 ffs

when i looked on ebay uk today it was like shopping at harrods...i put in price highest and couldnt see anything for steve jeffries buy it nows

started seriously collecting 60`s/ 70`s uk soul releases in 1981 but only started goin to soul nights regularly 1986 when i came back from germany( i was in the army) never been away from that point,, i did have the obvious youth club 45`s in the ,70`s,,,,,,,,,,bought records all my life tho..well from 1972 all types

spot on joe...anything thats `available` with a £20 or below its not worth buying from the usa unless you can buy a few more from same seller
