  7. A very happy birthday to Keith Minshull. One of my abiding memories from Stafford is Keith launching Eddie Parker I'm Gone through the speakers to the dancefloor, one of those epic moments you never forget. Always looked forward to his set, always great and knew I was in for a good dance. Many happy returns to Keith & Bobby
  8. Congratulations Gilly. 2 For me please. email sent Pete C

Very sad news, My condolences. Peter
  11. Sat with a huge grin on my face throughout, got to say I loved the young fellah and everyone associated with this story. He's got some proper friends. Inspiring stuff. Good for you Anthony, I'll look forward to meeting you.
  12. My condolences Dave Lots of love Peter
  13. I hope I will have the pleasure of meeting Jud, my best wishes to him
  14. Shoes are polished and ready, definitely going. A brilliant idea, lets make it a packer!
  15. Imperial C commented on Bazm's comment on an event in Allnighters

Blimey I'm even more convinced now I've seen it in the daytime, my parking spot looks great! Agree about music quality on Boxing Night, seriously brill, including this ditty.
  16. Just superb, put this on another thread last week but needs to be here
  17. Yes first line is what I meant, second line is hilarious I also hope something positive comes of this thread. Who knows a bit self examination may be taking place & records sat in the wrong boxes for many years may just find their way back to their rightful owners and thereby bring a bit more happiness into the world. Its never to late to make amends.
  18. Instant DJ above, totally outrageous. Time to get your cameras out. Nicked records won't sell if everyone knows they're nicked, legitimate dealers won't touch em and legitimate soul boys won't buy em. If the guy who had them is reading this and has got any conscience at all he'll give them back, drop them off anonymously somewhere for Mikes attention, do the decent thing mate these are not the actions of a soul boy, you should be ashamed of yourself. A man of integrity can walk tall and look people in the eye, a thief looks over his shoulder and down at the ground. Only one commands respect and you now have to decide which one you are going to be for the rest of your life, Over to you
  19. I would like to see the list, can you post it on here? We all look at stuff all the time I'm assuming. If its on here and the dealers are informed, its going to be difficult to sell under the radar when everyone knows whats gone missing, where and when. In particular if all the DJs load up the camera with snaps for forensic purposes later on.
  20. Totally agree with all the above, record boxes should also be locked when not in use and use smaller play boxes, these are small measures to prevent a life altering experience. Having somebody on hand is the least a promoter should do when you consider the value of rare stuff 20 years ago to now. Its a different world now and the scene needs its collective shit together on this one. Peps & Kitch's experience and anyone else over the years that its happened to, this should be a warning that someone is at it and they might be ambitious. The best way to avoid risk is not expose yourself to it and to minimise it where it does exist. Logically, all promoters should have this covered in the event risk assessment, which should be standard practice to legally cover themselves at the very least. Trust is one thing but leaving yourself wide open is another. If you take all necessary precautions it will minimise any suspicion. Sorry mate gotta concentrate on my spot, happy to talk to you afterwards. Sorry mate venue policy, no one else on stage, Health & safety. Altered this based on the good news below. Still think a chain will give DJs peace of mind
  21. Really appreciate hearing this, magic, thanks for posting.
