  1. Also, I remember you having that Precisions at Bretby in the early to mid-nineties, which was the first time I ever saw one. I think Sam was after it from you, but I just ended up buying your acetate of "My Dear Heart" voc / inst on the same night.
  2. Gilly, seem to remember some of the La Beat recordings had the same traffic noise problems at time of recording, and the tapes had to be sent away and processed by some service that could remove background noise. Cheers Mick
  3. I'm sure it's been on eBay before, you might find comfirmation through Popsike, unfortunately there's 100's of US copies to filter through. Just found one ... https://www.popsike.com/Soul-45-Bobby-Sheen-Something-New-To-Do-Warner-Bros-mp3-JA-press/361142063386.html Mick
  4. I think that's Jamaican Cheers Mick
  5. That's very sad - Was only thinking about him a few days ago.
  6. Diane Renay as Laura Greene - Can't Help Loving Dat Man", also on UK Grapevine
  7. I will take it (just pm'd you) Cheers Mick
  8. If you actually claim for non-delivery, is refunded from the sellers Paypal account (assuming you paid through Paypal). Usually best to talk to seller first though, as things can get delayed for various reasons. Cheers Mick
  9. For me, the Moments "Just Having Your Love" would have been great, backed with "I Got The Need" (the latter has had a recent release on 45, but JHYL is the one for me.
  10. Both these are on original 45's The Marvelettes is a US EP (45rpm) , and the Gladys Knight is a Philippines single. Think both are only promos though. Cheers Mick
  11. Still looking for these, if anyone can help. Thanks
  12. Does anyone know what happened to that Jamaican copy about a year ago. I wondered if any other copies turned up. Cheers Mick
  13. Just found some more Motown - these are Indian (both printed on labels) - TMG 555 (Isleys - but 1968) and ETM. 8 (Jr Walker, also 1968) It does indeed look like the numbering system depended on who was in the office that day
  14. Cheers Johnny, was never sure, so SA it is for TMJ - thanks again
  15. Yes, they look like UK Columbia - Just dug them out, I have three. Hey Little Girl 45-DB-7168 Um,Um,Um,Um,Um,Um 45-DB-7205 Matador 45-DB-7271 They look exactly the same as UK releases, but 'Made in India' at the bottom I've also got a few Tamla Motown with TMJ list numbers (I don't know if these are Indian, as there is no country printed) Cheers Mick
  16. I have about three (or Four) of Major Lance 45's on Indian Columbia
  17. John, I thought it was just the initals of the engineer who made them (ie. if it had been you, you might have etched JP) - However this is just my thoughts, I don't think I have ever heard one way or another. Cheers Mick
  18. Indeed it should - Even as I typed JW McGee, something felt wrong. In fact JWM didn't get built until 1982 - have amended my post.
  19. Still looking for these two city edits to complete my set of Philly All Stars - Let's Clean Up the Ghetto - "Detroit" AE7 1138, and an undocumented one on AE7 1131 (I doubt they started the numbering at 1132, so I feel it must exist, however it may not). Cheers Mick

  21. Don't think 720 was ever issued (ie black TMG). If it was it's passed me by. As to your Question, I think the £400 quoted for Demo is about right. Cheers Mick
  22. The "Wand" Al Wilson (Not the other one) , Rubin, and Chuck Wood are all supposed to be the same. Also they / he is also supposed to be JR Bailey. I don't know if this is definite, but there was some earlier thread about it a few years ago. Just found it here ... Cheers Mick
  23. Bob Brady - More More More Of Your Love
  24. It looks like an 8 inch acetate, so that would take care of the larger run-in (being standard at 7 inch) and the perceived smaller label. Also, I don't think 8 inch acetates have large middles - I've got quite a few and they are all small middles. There could be some with large middles, just never seen any. Cheers Mick
