  2. Hope someone can remember, but I've been trying to remember what the other RCA 45 was by Mike Mcdonald, also what was it like ? Cheers Mick Holdsworth https://northernsoulrecords.com https://motownsound.co.uk
  3. That was Buddy Conner - When You're Alone, not NOECTYP (Ahh, just read your reply properly !! - forget what I said) Cheers Mick Holdsworth https://northernsoulrecords.com https://motownsound.co.uk
  4. Probably the best thing I found was Jeanette White - Music A&M UK Demo for 10p on Birmingham Rag Market, and a Jon Ford - You Got Me .. for 15p from Bilston High Street - - - both in about '79 / '80 The Strangest thing I found was Arin Demain / Doni Burdick white boot on Absolute in a charity shop in Derby for 50p about '97 or '98 - - - why so strange ?? -- well, although I can't remember the exact date, I knew at the time it was a brand new release that very week. Cheers Mick Holdsworth https://northernsoulrecords.com https://motownsound.co.uk
  5. Mod Squad - "The Love Bug Will Bite You" (Full instructions on how to do the "Love Bug" on B side) Cheers Mick Holdsworth https://northernsoulrecords.com https://motownsound.co.uk
  6. Dave, Must admit I've never seen a Bareback Issue, only demos - or have I got that wrong ?? Cheers Mick Holdsworth https://northernsoulrecords.com https://motownsound.co.uk
  7. Here's about 18 or so £40 - £100 records on ebay tonight 8:20 GMT onwards, a few still at 99p or just over ... Check out the link here ... motown-sound Cheers Mick Holdsworth https://northernsoulrecords.com https://motownsound.co.uk
  8. You are right - it was one of Sousanns ling a longs from the 70's - very poor reproduction if I remember, considering the reproduction of Del-satins etc which were fine Cheers Mick Holdsworth https://northernsoulrecords.com https://motownsound.co.uk
  9. It now resides in Wolverhampton - sadly not in my box - John Pugh has it. - It was the same backing as total Eclipse, but a completely different mix. Cheers Mick Holdsworth
  10. Just noticed a Vg only black one go through at $400 - comparing the two it does make you wonder why the white test press was only a little bit more. I think in a bit better condition too. Cheers Mick Holdsworth
  11. Don't think it was ever released, but it was made available through a CD about 10 years ago (Couldn't tell you which one, probably a Goldmine or similar). Cheers Mick
  12. Ian, Yes there is a vocal - it's called 'Dance Time' Cheers Mick Holdsworth
  13. Just in case anyone is interested, you can now add postage on your UK listings (supposed to be yesterday 8th but there were problems). They finally got it working this morning - Turbo lister also works, but you may need to update it. Cheers Mick
  14. When you consider the Royal Esquires - for over 20 years a very rare record - fetching over $1800 dollars on eBay it seemed like a good deal, as it was advertised by the seller as an ULTRA RARE item. Very soon we all learned the vast quantity the seller had - basically every copy pressed had come to the sellers possesion, making it about as rare as Spyder Turner. As a seller, If I do find a few copies of something, then I'd just sell them as If it were the only one I had. If I found 1000 copies of, say, Kell Osbourne on Highland, I would disclose it and price it accordingly, I certainly wouldn't advertise it as "ULTRA RARE, one of only 5" or somesuch. Cheers Mick Holdsworth
  15. It is good, but it's not the Moments. I was talking to Des Parker a while back about this one - apparently he reckoned the track was just used to make up a B side for "All I Have" - as to who it actually is, he was less sure, although I think "Springers" may have been mentioned as a possibility. I've never heard the Willie & Mighty Magnificents LP, so it could be the same take - anybody have both to compare ? Cheers Mick Holdsworth
  16. Dunno then, maybe you have some option selected, like "Listing Designer".Go and fill in the form again and go upto the submit page (obviously without clicking) - Then check to see what you have - listing designer or "Buy It Now" / Reserve would have all been outside of the promotion - extra pictures is another, there may be more. - Other than that I don't know - You were listing on the UK site ??? Put up a link to one of the listings, I'll see if I can work it out for future ref. Cheers Mick Holdsworth
  17. Bit late now, but the promotion was only valid if you listed manually through the "Sell Items" Form. If you used Turbo Lister or something similar, then you paid as normal. eBay probably made a few million yesteday just on that alone. Cheers Mick Holdsworth
  18. I've got one here ... https://motownsound.co.uk/ukmotownrecords.shtm .. about halfway down the page .. TMG 1093 Vg++ (my grading Vg++ is about Ex/Ex+) Cheers Mick Holdsworth
  19. Pete, If you mean the current one, I thought it looked pale blue. But if you meant this one ... .. you're right, it does look off-white, and that was the problem, because in reality it looked nothing like this, due to duff scanner. Cheers Mick
  20. That a doctored image - Everything is blue - god knows why, probably scanner on it's last legs. The pale blue originals can cause a problem with scanners - my scanner would scan it almost white , causing me the very same problems as highlighted in this thread. - In fact the quote "Please note, this is the Light Blue label Original press with Blue Text, and not the 70's white label reissue with similar blue text." was my quote, as was the image, which I enhanced to make it a bit more blue. Still looks whiter than it really was. I'm sure the ebay record which started this thread was a real one Cheers Mick Holdsworth
  21. I'm after a Joe Pirolli - Oh Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, if anyone can help Thanks Mick Holdsworth
  22. Still after a copy of this one - the "rough" one I was getting never materialised - so ... anyone ?? It's this specific 1972 release I'm after, not a 12 inch or anything like that. Cheers Mick
  23. Just had a look at Pat Bradys auction site - Some very nice RCA black stock records there. Then I happened to see the Sandra Phillips ... https://www.northerns...ail.asp?id=1376 Obviously a mistake (He has the boot in stock for £20 - same image), but it's not going to help him sell it for £100.00 or more. Cheers Mick Holdsworth
  24. The photos on Tina Masons LP are of Judy Street I don't know why that happened, but John Manship may be able to throw some light onto that - It was from one of his notes when he had the LP in stock / auction years ago, that I picked that bit of info up. Cheers Mick Holdsworth
