  1. I got my copy straight off Al Wilkes, he signed the sleeve. I'm pretty sure he told me that was the last one, this was a few years back! He owns a Tennis racket Store I believe. Good luck in your search Jed. Johnny
  2. I would say mine was EX- but grading is not one of my strong points. Slight pen mark on 'B' side label, very small. Here is a scan for you to judge yourself. The scan is b/w but the record label is actually a flesh/pink colour. Ignore the straight line through picture, that is actually on the scanner. click to enlarge
  3. Great blue-eyed Philly group. Flip side is great too. Manship has one for sale.
  4. Yes, plum (or a sort of brownish!) is the first issue.Never seen any white demos.
  5. 'I'm Gone' Kev
  6. Found it. Like I said, almost mint. Bought from Soul Bowl years ago, played a couple of times and filed away. Black issue.
  7. I think I have an almost mint issue somewhere, let me take a look and I'll get back to you soon ok.
  8. Which Major Lance one Pete? Tell me it's 'You Don't Want Me No More' I have that one, small '45' & stamped
  9. Had a break-up several years back now and I used to play 'Gene Stridel - Tomorrow Is Another Day', I felt his pain but it somehow made me feel better! I think it's the realisation that you're not the only one going through it.
  10. I was there with my pregnant missus...no wonder my daughter loves a bit of Soul! I thought H B Barnum was top notch too.
  11. Remember getting that album from a charity shop years ago. Don't have it anymore , think I traded it with a 70's collector.
  12. Yes, 45 is on 'Stardust' but there was a discussion to it's legality on here some time ago. If it's a legal release then that is the original vinyl 45.
  13. So, what's the album? I'm intrigued...
  14. As Dave say's, yes, the San Francisco TKOs, as you can see, female singer. I have a couple more photos of them, group shots but NO female is present on those.
  15. Love that guitar riff on 'Sensitive Mind', that's got to be bloody hard to play!!
  16. Which equates to what? £33 ish, 70's boots go for that anyway don't they, so maybe the buyer knew what he was purchasing.
  17. ...it is a minter BTW.
  18. I see Manship got a nice £214 for Jimmy Wonderful & The Honey Bees 'Ain't Nothing Shakin' Here' on Blue star. I have one for sale and was Just wondering what I should put it up for? Obviously not going to get what John got but what would a reasonable price be?
  19. There was a small discussion about the record on Radio 2 several years back when Mark Lamarr was playing some tunes. He described it as "Garage meets Motown". I love it, and I put the flip 'One By One' on a compliation Garage CD.
  20. That is a good looking 45, I'd have kept it at that price.
  21. I see the track was featured on 'Great Night Out' (new TV series set in Stockport).
  22. If you're selling the GC copy Mark let me know price.
  23. It was also released as 'Dog war' on UK Blue Beat and is the same as the first Island cut. However, all UK Blue Beats miss a milli-second of the opening piano riff!
  24. I have that Miracles LP. Is there NO USA release?
