  1. I have the Atlantic copy and it has fabulous sound quality, very loud and clear. A powerhouse of a record for sure!
  2. I got a copy in trades about 7 years back, I had to give £300 worth of trades to get it. I saw a copy on Ian Clarke's stall at a Norwich record fair around the same time and a guy paid £200 cash for it then and there. EDIT: Fabulous record!
  3. I got that picture from google, it was on a youtube video of the Joey Delorenzo song so presumed it was him. The album I saw was in a charity shop and he did look similar to that guy, it looked absolute crap (MORish) so I didn't bother with it, wish I had now as I can't find any reference to it anywhere!
  4. This is he, supposedly...
  5. I'm pretty sure I saw an L.P once, a few years back, by Joey Delorenzo so he does exist. From memory it was mid 70's and he was an Italian looking fella.
  6. Yes, I thought it was, thanks Sebastian. Labels reversed too.
  7. I like it, and I love the flip too 'Lost My Sense Of Direction'....but then I'm a sucker for blue-eyed Northern tunes. Here's the copy I have in my box. 1973 on the label....
  8. Just purchased that 'Tired Of My Tears' (flip to 'What Am I Living For') off Gemm on the back of this thread. Cheers for posting polyvelts!
  9. Just realised that Prince Buster's 'Kings Of Old' (Fab) is a re-working of Lou Rawls' - My Ancestors (Capitol).
  10. Just a play on words.
  11. Only if the seller puts the value on the customs slip. Some sellers are aware of the charges and put a lower value. You may be lucky.
  12. Yes Brillo, you are correct, they are checking everything. My postman told me that the other day. Some used to slip through but not anymore. Basically anything valued at £15 or over from the States (and others) will get the duty.
  13. Definitely unissued. Available on vinyl on a Kent L.p 'Soul Cities' (Kent 089)
  14. I have an issue. Think it's M-, I'll have to dig it out and have a look if you're interested.
  15. It's on the 'Northern Soul Story - Volume 7' from the late 1980's
  16. Here's a couple more of their albums from my collection....
  17. 'Evil Love' (Chattahoochie 45) has had a few plays. The best 'Album only' track is 'Cheatin Woman' on their Whittier album 'Unlimited'..great soulful mid-tempo tune! They also did a version of the Servicemen's 'Are You Angry' albeit VERY different!
  18. I got a decent copy if you don't buy Mark's.
  19. The first issue of this was on the '100 Club Anniversary' giveaway 45 Second issue on 'Horace's' (like the one in your link) Third issue on Kent Hope this clears up the confusion.
  20. Ah, but maybe the EX Wife has sold it! LOL
  21. The Four Tops Hip-O Select Cd is only available through Amazon at the moment...price.... over £100!!!!!
  22. The Knights that went for £750 of which Dave speaks of was on the RareNorthernSoul.com sales and had a hairline crack! Which they did mention! Funny thing, so does my copy!
