  1. .....and we all know how much the Majestees go's for nowadays! MUTT is definitely becoming an in-demand label.
  2. Bought a copy the same day as 'The Majestees' also on Mutt both for around £15 each from Soul Bowl in the early 90's
  3. Soul-slider replied to a post in a topic in Look At Your Box
Turned up in the UK on one of those 'Northern Soul Story L.Ps' Volume 7. Sleeve credits say 'A Grand Prix Recording 1968'
  4. Thanks for the info Tony & Toad.
  5. Yes, Tommy Mccook on UK Rio? Toad...is my black Coxsone a re-issue then? It must be an early re-issue surely?
  6. I have it on black 'Coxsone' as the flip to Skatalites 'Ska Jam' (which actually plays wailers 'Ska Jerk'). This could be the original JA issue as it's just credited to 'The wailers'. Pretty sure 'Bob Marley &' wasn't added until later.
  7. The gold label boot is styrene, stick on label. Good sound too I'm pretty sure (unless I have an original?).
  8. Think the sound on the 'gold' Impact boot is fine.
  9. So the issue is harder than the demo then? I have an issue so be interesting to know.
  10. The Drifter - Ray Pollard I walked Away - Bobby Paris
  11. There's a boot of the 45 too.
  12. Have you ever heard this version?.............
  13. The flip of the Hugo Montenegro RCA 45 is a vocal record. I put it on a CD with other 1960's USA related Garage/Beat & Pop.
  14. Ah, that's cleared up then. Some originals have hexagon design some not, boots too. The 'boot' showing in Manship's has NO hexagon that's why I got thrown. Check to see if yours has 'BellSound' stamp newer, you never know..
  15. Click on my 45, you'll see 'Bellsound' stamp. Original, no doubt.
  16. ORIGINAL black hexagon shape around outside label. Boot does not have this
  17. Yeah, like you say 'dtdrug', the 'Sounds Superb' LP version is a different take. I never really noticed until someone on here mentioned it a couple of years back. The UK TMG 45 is everywhere, car boots, charity shops etc, I think I have purchased it for 25p on many an occasion then gave them away to friends who wanted to know a bit about Northern Soul. Still goes down a treat at our local soul nights.
  18. Ah, what threw me was that you titled it 'watermelon man'
  19. Interesting that the Five Counts has the title 'watermelon walk' instead of MAN...is this the flip?
  20. Just added to my favourites...
  21. Can someone post a sound clip of 'Hertbreak (Awful Day)' ??
  22. Jimmy Conwell - Too Much (Gemini stamped) Caesars - Girl I Miss you (Lanie) Both £4 each from a shop here in K/L, seller seemed to think they were boots even though the Caesars has never been booted!
  23. Certainly cheaper than I thought they'd be on UK Pete! There's no UK copies on ebay (a couple of US). It may go higher now its been exposed. More MOD than Northern though.
