  1. Gotta be around the ton mark? Think mine's a demo too.
  2. Blue-Eyed group for sure!
  3. Johnny Wesley - You Still Need Me (Melic) Pepsi-Tones - Keep On Walking (Pepsi Presents) Tony Owens - This Heart Can't Take No More (Soul Sound) Seth Martin - Look At Me (Page One UK) Tim Rose - I Got A Lonliness (CBS UK)
  4. ....so, what's the other Joe Jama record then?
  5. Superb blue-eyed Soul tune. The nucleus of 'Rare Earth' of course.
  6. ....he's quite good aint he!
  7. That reminds me, £10 for D.Banks UK Stax demo ('I'm The One Who Loves You') in a Norwich record shop about 8/10 years ago, Passed it up as I thought it was an easy one to get!!!! Oh, and bypassed £25 for Billy Hambric (Drum) from Ian Clark....Norwich record fair...probably on the same day!
  8. Yes, Independence and MCC. I had them both too but sold the Independence copy, MCC is the first release (or so I'm lead to believe). Quite surprised how cheaply I picked them up, maybe 'cos they are sometimes listed under 'Garage'. Love the stop start towards the end and the horns fading the record out! Brilliant tune.
  9. Well it is a 'proper' one if you collect UK only? First and legitimate outing for both sides on UK vinyl
  10. Just to help you out a little, it's on the 'Isley Brothers' L.P on Starline SRS 5098 and includes 7 previously unissued tracks of which 'It Moves Me To Tears' is one.
  11. Yes, I think you are right Sean, that's the only rational explaination. I will rest easy now!
  12. According to the Terry Wilson book 'Tamla Motown - the stories behind the UK singles'..., TMG 787 The Elgins 'Put Yourself In My Place' carries 'Little Miss Sweetness' on the flip. Quote "a version of 'Little Miss Sweetness' which The Temptations also recorded in 1966". Well, I now have two copies of 787 (after buying a second off Richard Domar for £6 thinking it would have this 'B' side) and both have 'It's Gonna Be Hard Times' on them!!! So what's the score then? Did 'LMS' by the Elgins ever come out? And why such a glaring mistake in an otherwise excellent UK TMG discography?
  13. There's also a version of 'Make Me Yours' by another JA lady, 'Joyce Bond' on the 'Winds Of Change' l.p (albeit a UK recording?)
  14. 'Big Cold Wind'...horrendous easy listening with a tinge (and I mean a tinge!) of R&B
  15. Yes, but the UK re-press is only available in the 'Trojan Box Set' of singles???
  16. There's a 4 track E.P of dubios origin that was doing the rounds 10 year or so back, featuring that Barbara McNair tune.
  17. I see 'The Underdogs - Love's Gone Bad' on the Rhino CD....how did that happen? Motown owned surely?
  18. Agree, an out and out Garage tune. I always find it weird that the Seeds' 'Pushing Too Hard' is regarded as Northern too!! Best one on Soma (really a Garage label) is The Del-Counts 'With Another Guy'...absolutely Blue-Eyed Northern and superb!

Ikea do these in black or white, they hold around a hundred 45s and you can stack 'em on top of each other. Made of wood.
  20. great answer!! LOL! Seriously though, 2 great sides!
  21. Not as far as I am aware, should be black with silver logo/credits.
  22. Sharon Scott / Dean Courtney Kent 6T 12.....bargain at 50p mate!!!!! Gotta be at least £40 maybe more!
  23. Either blue-eyed or Latino artist I presume?
