Wanted - Elliott Small/elkie Brookes/incredible Invaders
Elkie Brookes, now there's a record that has surprised me over the years. When I got it I thought WOW what a tune! But it's fairly unknown and I've never heard it out or seen it listed, it doesn't even feature in Manship's UK price guide. I'd let my copy go (ex) but not for peanuts, I really don't know what it's worth as there's very little documented about it on the soul scene. Make me an offer if you like. John

Incredible Backing Track! Apalling Vocal
Just realised it's from DETROIT(?)...there's another by him backed by the Motor City Orchestra on Setting Sun! ....or perhaps it's not the same guy?
-
Incredible Backing Track! Apalling Vocal
Well, I like quirky NS tunes + I like Johnny Cash (an uncanny likeness!) + I think the backing is tremendous! Reckon I got a bargain

Incredible Backing Track! Apalling Vocal
Love it! A quick search on ebay threw up NOTHING! Then straight onto Gemm and managed to bag the only one on offer for $15!!!

Lost Souls - Secret Of Mine
The name of the group is actually 'The Lost Soul' and are different to the group on Glasco who are called 'The Lost Souls'

Theres That Mountain-The Trips
Looks very similar to the one's on some 'Atlantic' 45s?

Theres That Mountain-The Trips
This has been discussed in depth (almost!) on another thread from last year I think. Me and Pottsy think the Soultown release is a legit copy, mainly because of the stamp (thanks 45cellar) and the different cut of 'LCBM'.

Jackie Trent, You Baby. Casino Classics Test Press
Sure I had it by a US white pop group? Lovin' Spoonful or someone??

Uk Blanx Rare, Rareish Not Rare At All
Reckon they are worth having to a collector who only collects UK releases, there's a lot of these that were never released on a UK 45 in the 1960's so it's the first outing on a UK label. I always feel that if you are a genuine UK collector, you should be buying these 45s NOW before they disappear and start to fetch bigger cash. The Johnny Sayles on 'Soul City' 'Tell Me (Where I Stand)' is a previously unissued tune...and a corker! Well worth owning IMHO

Soma 1451
A Garage 45? Just an excuse to ask....who's the fit bird in the photo? Nice arse!
-
Money Records
Oh Baz! Completely agree with you on the Larks' 'Come Back Baby'...wonderful record! I recently got Bobby Angelle's 'It's Just Gotta Be That way'....what a corker!!

That's Mr. Crosby for ya!!

Rare Lp Tracks
Just as I thought Mick, reckon it could well be the 'Willie & Mighty Magnificents' track. If it is the 'Springers'....then WOW! I'll have to grab a better listen and then play a Springers tune to compare the vocals.

Rare Lp Tracks
It's great and on a Stang 45, total out and out Northern.
-
Stella & The Gazelles - Im Not In Love With You Anymore
Definitely unissued previously. This is the only official way to get it on vinyl 45. I have a copy and it's great!!
-
Wanted
Found it and it's in really nice cond (EX+). As you can see from the scans it's a demo. It doesn't have a shiny label like my other Atlantic labels and is a pinkish colour rather than deep red....??? Any good to you mate? Let me know.

Wanted
...with the superb 'Why Is It Taking So Long' on the flip!! I have a copy somewhere, I'll dig it out and have a look at it for you ok.

Rare Lp Tracks
Is the Willie & Mighty Magnificents tune the same as the 'Moments' version on Stang? Or are they perhaps one and the same? I have the Flamingos L.P and can't remember playing 'I'm Not Tired Yet' so I'll give it a spin later.
