  1. Nancy Wilcox - Comin' On Strong / My Baby (RCA - Victor)
  2. Yes, I have a couple that I got around 8 years back! They have the Soul Bowl logo (see my avatar) and address on them. Nice light green card, good quality.
  3. 'Blow Wind' is a great mid-tempo soulful tune. Send it to me for free if you don't want it....ok, I'll pay the postage.
  4. What about their 2 stonking sides on Soul City / UK Liberty 'Train Keep On Moving / I'll Be Loving You Forever'....gems!
  5. I had one with Eddie Holland - I'm On The Outside Looking In / blank. Still got Candi Staton - Now You've Got The Upper Hand / Oscar Perry - (can't remember the title, but that 70's thing on PERRITONE?)
  6. Totally agree, superb ballad. Put it one of my 'Mid-Tempo,Beat Ballads & Deep Soul' CDs

B6 The Incredibles has it's first UK outing of 'Another Dirty Deal' on the flip.
  8. Glad you got a copy mate, awesome tune! It's in my D.J playbox but I must admit it hasn't had an airing out yet but it will!
  9. Here you go Pete, got it from Norwich record fair about 4 years ago. Not cheap really, blank flip, no markings in the wax:
  10. It's the 'Do What You Gotta Do' album on Liberty. Just like John Manship, I too collect bootlegs and have a good collection of them in a box, seperate from my originals. Personally, I don't think any of these 70'S (mainly) boots are particularly easy to get nowadays: EDDIE PARKER - I'M GONE (AWAKE) DEL LARKS - JOB OPENING (QUEEN CITY blue/white) NEW WANDERERS - LET ME RENDER MY SERVICE/AINT GONNA DO YOU NO HARM (READY) HESITATIONS - I'M NOT BUILT THAT WAY / PUSH A LITTLE HARDER (L.P only track) (KAPP) CAROLE WALLER - STOP AND GET A HOLD OF MYSELF / THIS LOVE OF MIND (USA) BILL LUCAS - CAUSE I KNOW YOU'RE MINE (DIONN) MAGICIANS - SWEET MAGIC / CONNIE (CHARTMAKER) ROSE BATTISTE - I MISS MY BABY / HIT & RUN (REVILOT grey) TONY GALLA - IN LOVE (SWAN first boot yellow with black lettering) MAGNETICS - HEART YOU'RE MADE OF STONE / LADY IN GREEN (BONNIE) BOBBY MAC - SHY GUY (VENDED) GWEN OWENS - WANTED AND NEEDED (VELGO) BERNARD WILLIAMS - IT'S NEEDLESS TO SAY /FOCUSED ON YOU (HARTHON) LENNY CURTIS - NOTHING CAN HELP YOU NOW (END styrene b&w label...super quality) ALEXANDER PATTEN - A LIL LOVIN' SOMETIMES (CAPITOL) JOHN & WIERDEST - CANT GET OVER.../NO TIME (TIE no date stamp) BILLY PROPHET - WHAT CAN I DO (SUE) DETROIT SOUL - ALL OF MY LIFE (MUSIC TOWN) GARY HAINES - KEEP ON GOING (SOUND) DICKIE WONDER- NOBODY KNOWS (SOUND OF SOUL) If you put that lot on ebay, and be honest with their origin, I reckon you'd come away with a nice wedge.
  11. Yes, I agree, terrible.
  12. Original should be on EEE 0069 or 0070 (came out twice, same year with different flip's). Was re-issued (not booted) on BMR (Beach Music Records).
  13. Thanks chaps, I shall keep an eye out for the US 45.
  14. I know this has been discussed before but I can't remember the outcome! I have the UK 45 of Lou Rawls' 'Dead End Street' (Capitol) and the L.P 'Too Much!' which contains 'Dead End Street' and a brilliant monologue to kick it off. The UK 45 does not have this. Am I right in presuming that the USA 45 doesn't have the monologue either and the only way to get it is on the l.p? I have to say, without the monologue, the record just doesn't have the same impact.
  15. That's Claudette of 'Skinheads A Bash Them' fame and the Prophets are the Cimarons AKA 'The Hot Rod All Stars'. A hard 45 to get now as it's in demand, I was lucky and got a decent copy for £30 afew months back from a private seller. The last one I saw on ebay went for £68!!!!
  16. Oh yes! Doh! Sorry Sean. Was the 'Gotta Find A Way' (unreleased then I presume) from the same Kapp sessions then or from the later GWP sessions?
  17. Hesitations is on their 'The New Born Free' L.P - Kapp / London (UK) P.m'd you regarding Soul Majestics
  18. Jackie duetted a lot with Millie small too, so it could be her?? I think I'd go with Joyce Bond though.
  19. The flip of the Soul Bros is the Wailers, that's why it sells so high.
  20. I'm sure the other take was only issued on a French E.P and features a female singer too. It did come out as the flip to the normal take on an Island bootleg fairly recently. The album is 'Put Your Tears Away' and is on the UK pink Island label.
  21. Earlier than that I think? I'm sure these bootlegs were 1969??? Pete? If you look in the run out grooves you'll see the WI (UK Island) stamp and number, well it is on mine anyway.
  22. Not forgetting the UK release TMG 790. This has the 'Double O' title too!
