  1. i have one of these pete, certainly a tough one to pick up, bought it originally at the mecca for about £3, sold that a few years later thinking i will find another, fast forward 25 years finally secured it again, didnt have to pay much then either, but not many looking for it then, no idea what it would go for now.
  2. hi dave,just played them through, i cant hear a difference to be truthfull, backing vocals beneath him , then the instrumental break comes as he starts singing again he says ( quietly) "listen" the backing vocals then lift to become more prominent as he sings, my lp is mono and the 45 is on columbia, maybe the us 45 is different? god i need to get out more.....

  5. i too have a copy of the francis burnett on uk coral, may have been spun on the rnb scene, she also has a few other interesting singles on us coral, also written by various motown connected writers, very early sounding and probably not of much interest to most on here, she did a few duffers too. nice to have tho and dont turn up very often, quite a tough find on uk issue, i have seen a one sided 45 uk demo too

  7. there is also a version of the instrumental on united artists called heavy together, by the real thing, sounds almost identical to the jobelle track. just as an aside.
