Top R&b Tunes Played In The Main Room
What about stuff like: Clovers - "One more time" Johnny Copeland - "Just one more time" Candy Reid - "Give me love" Wouldn't know whether or not this stuff is played in the main room, but still good nevertheless.

Your Top Record Ever! One Desert Island Disc
One or two non-northern so I'll go with: Tower of Power - "So very hard to go" It has everything you would want in a song, great instrumentation and production, heartfelt lyrics and sublime vocals.

In Your Opinion
I've always liked (for some reason) the horns on Nicky C and the Chateaux - "Those good times", duff notes and all.

Sitting In The Park 7th Anniversary Show
Just finished listening, Bob and as always a wonderful selection of sweet and group harmony soul. Stuff like Tracy La'vett, Fred Moss, Precisions etc, make it a weekly treat. One thing I have noticed about your show is the extent of the obscure artists and labels featured. You must have some collection. Long may the show continue.

Gerald Sims And The Breeze
No, definitely not Mikey. I don't get out to events much these days so just wondering as to what's been uncovered, if any. Cover ups will always be a matter of intrigue for me and I assume that those in the "inner circle" get to know but are bound upon the punishment of death not to reveal the details

Gerald Sims And The Breeze
Butch cover up from a few years back. Has it been outed yet and if so what is it?

What Is The Most Ever Paid For A Record?
Yeah, I'd forgotten about that. Exchange rate at the time would have put at just over £10k so perhaps the 2nd most expensive now.
-
What Is The Most Ever Paid For A Record?
So as per the other thread, did Mello Souls not sell for £10k? If so I've always assumed that this makes it the second most expensive Northern record behind FW (1st time) with Don Gardner a close 3rd.

What Is The Most Ever Paid For A Record?
Are you thinking of the Velvet Underground acetate? It was "sold" for $100,000+ but the bidding was a hoax. When it was re-listed I think it went for $25,000.
-
2nd Rarest 45?
So what would it be? Mello Souls? Sold for 10k didn't it. There isn't an answer to the question about rarity as there must be lots of one offs which by definition must be as equally rare as each other.

Sitting In The Park 7th Anniversary Show
Not listened yet, but looks like a top track listing. 7 years - congratulations

Rca - Rare, Collectible And Soulful - Volume 3?
I think both CD's are excellent. The Sharon Scott and Cavaliers unreleased tracks are superb. Definitely not keen on the Willie Kendrick unreleased track - "American dollar" which must have some of the worst lyrics ever.
-
2nd Rarest 45?
Who has this now? Still Tim Brown or has it moved on? The label looks like the other Kellmac recordings, basic but not necessarily "mocked up" if you know what I mean.

Post About The Music Not The Posters ?
Quite right, Mike. It's like a f**king school (infants) playground on here at times. Anybody casually looking in wouldn't believe it's (mostly) middle aged men (and woman) acting like 4 year olds. Get a grip.
