I play Marvins got to give it up in a cheesy club I DJ in and the whole room jumps up on the opening bar and starts dancing and then they all sit down again in disgust when they realise its not robyn thickrat and these people are not very sophisticated but they can spot the obvious sample unlike the usa court system.

  10. Enjoyed the Sunday soul nights Stan and Pat used to put on and enjoyed the film. But the sink was never a soul music venue in the sixties any more than the cavern was so Ive been told.

  14. Bought the double dimple salvadors as a booty in the 8ts. Kept it coz I loved it, coudnt afford a real one and because the sound quality was great, though them dimples bugged me, had it many years then sold it as a bootleg £3 . Think I even made a profit..Yeh,. Should of guessed by the quality but I was young and stupid.

Had this on a cd I made for the car 10 years ago and dunno why I just recorded 20 seconds of it but I did and now its doing my head in as to what it is esp as Ive grown to like it, must have the record but cant find it and god I looked.   17. my 2 fave ballads ever marie knight and Edwin stars harlem have been mentioned so check these Freddie north the hurt , great dark version of 'its no good for me' little Charles I guess I have to take . 'give me a chance' over the top dramatics, messy production but oozes charm and atmosphere that got me hooked anyway and his voice kills it. cheers c
