Kierion, 1st of all welcome to soul source. I have fond memeories of the Angels back than, indeed good times. If you get chance pass on get well soon from me to Frank. In the early 80s a few of us did a soul-nite on a Thursday at The Rover's Return in Blackburn. There were only a few people used to turn up, but Frank was a regular. Yours Dave Taylor.
  6. I've got to admit that his quote on the TV, made me see him in a different light. I loved SOUL-2-SOUL in the 80s/90s, I still like the music but the man?
  7. There were two secondary schools near where I lived in the 60s. Total over 1000 kids, just 1 black kid nicknamed Butty (circa 1966-1970) Guess what he went to Wigan etc. There wasn't many black kids that didn't live in the cities back than. As a genaral rule the black kids in the cities had there own scence etc, as where a black kid that grew up with whites hang around with whites. I hope that makes some scense, in why the white kids outnumber the black kids. Or at least one reason.
  8. F**kin great times, it was great being young back than. If you do 2 nighters or a weekender now it takes all week to recover. Having said that it is only in the last 4 or 5 years that I have had to slow down. P.S. I stopped going to the football 10 years ago.

  19. Eddie, it was 76. " My Suger Baby" was quite good, and the "Double Cookin" vocal was Del-Satins "Baby, you're the fire" or a title something like that. Dave.
