Ebay Selling Fees
Expensive as it may be, other sites like eBid attract nowhere near as many buyers as Ebay does. They are greedy bastards, but I'll still use them for what I can.

Ebay Selling Fees
Yes - 10% is right. Also, don't forget the initial cost of placing the ad, depending on quite a few different factors, plus 4% PayPal fees when receiving payment.

Never Seen This Before
Possibly from another part of the West Indies (eg, Barbados etc). Can't see the typface too well, but it does look like a West Indian press of some sort. Having said that, he does have other Jamaican 45s on his auction list. Here's a Jamaican Staple Singers 45 on Stax which is on 45cat - blue label, but not as dark as the Jean Knight. According to the page of Jamaican Stax 45s, the old label design (and a myriad of colours) was being used there at least until 1973. https://www.45cat.com/record/nc496619jm

Who Is Gonna Give Me The Best Deal?
Have to agree with Dave - I've sold some of my bits to Mick in the past, and he is a very reasonable payer (and a good bloke to chat to!).

John Manships Auction Results 3-4-2013
That's exactly what I thought a more realistic price is for that.

Motown Piano Restored By Macca
True - the only way the Beatles Motown covers hit the chart were by way of their second LP (pretty sure there were no Motown covers on Please Please Me).

Buyer Wants Refund - After 6 Weeks
Amazing how he actually received the record within an hour of the first email saying he hadn't received it. Wish our postal service was that dynamic.

Another 'thought I'd Seen It All' Thread
Stick 'em over bootlegs to make them look like original WDJs........................

Eddie Foster Orig?
Bloody hell! Looks lovely. Thanks for that Harry.
-
Eddie Foster Orig?
Didn't know there were any, Harry! Now they must be seriously scarce. PS: Hope you, Di and the family have a good Easter.......
-
Eddie Foster Orig?
JM's auction raised about £56 for it some years ago. Apparently, Bob Catteno had the coloured vinyl ones pressed at the same time as the WDJs, but in a very limited quantity.

Precisions If This Love
I'd avoid the UK Track issue - it gradually starts slowing down through the middle, and sounds terrible at the fade-out.
-
Eddie Foster Orig?
If you're offered a white demo, it's definitely a boot - there aren't any original demos. Follow Robb's advice above on how to tell a boot from an original stock copy.

Alfie Davison - Love Is A Serious Business
I can remember it fetching £15 in 1983.

Has Standard Uk Postage Been Increased ?
Whether he's stated his prices or not, if I paid that extortionate price for P&P, and it arrived with a £1.20 postage stamp and even a professional mailer, I'd bloody feel ripped off. He would also feel the wrath of my low DSR rating.

Dermot Oblong
Never heard of Dermot Oblong, but he's certainly not a square!
-
Has Standard Uk Postage Been Increased ?
I'd cancel your bid and tell him to f**k off - standard delivery for a 7" record (1st class unregistered) is £1.20 - even recorded delivery should only be £2.20 or thereabouts. That is a blatant postal rip-off, unless his idea of standard postage is delivering it by hand in an armoured car.

John Manships Auction Results 27-3-2013
Can they throw some of their cash my way and put it down to diminished responsibility?

What Do You Think,
Seems fair enough, and in these times not a bad thing either. Probably nothing different to what Cash Converters does.

What Do You Think,
I see the page owner is based in St. Neots. Anyone know who it is?
