Don't Pity Me Sung In French (Joanie Sommers Song)
Hi, I started a little thread about this - last year I think. Sheila turned out to be Sheila B Devotion of "Spacer" and "Singinin' in the Rain" disco hits fame. She had an intersting career. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sheila_(singer) Always liked the "Ye Ye girl" phrase - very 60's!! Cheers

Chambers Brothers Royalties
Here's a european issue of "I can't stand it" that I have. I've copied the record and pic cover to give as much info as possible. Also, if it helps, they also have a track on a UK Compilation LP I have called "Groov'y Baby". Track 5 on side 1. Good luck to Mr and Mrs Chambers. Kev Bodley

Vickie Baines Ebay - Nice
I was also watching this. Thought I might bid if the the price was right. However, what limited my bid was in the detail of the postage instructions. Customs Declaration of THE FULL AMOUNT!! Using the figures where I got caught on that with a lower value disc, it could add £12 handling charge and about 20% tax = £240. Postage quoted at $44 (£30). Total add to the selling price - £255. I assume the buyer was aware and that it isn't a nasty shock when the little notice pops through the door rather than the disc. I'm happy to be proved wrong if someone knows differetly and I got the wrong end of the stick

Brooks And Jerry On Uk Direction
Yes, I would say so. The arrow overlaps the centre hole. On the later one's, it doesn't. Cheers KB

Brooks And Jerry On Uk Direction
I think there was a 2nd UK issue. The first has the LARGER arrow on the left. The second has a smaller arrow. Not obvious at first glance. Cheers Kev Bod

Wigan Casino 4Th Anniversary (Last 30 Mins) Podcast
WOW!! What a buzzzz that was hearing again. Best crimbo prezzie, thanks to the Wombourne Santa. It reminds you of why you got into the whole thing in the first place. Great venue, great times, mad people, unforgetable adventures that are scary to recall. Even if you felt like something the dog had sicked up, you always made the effort to wring the last bit out of the night and get on the floor for those last few tunes. Cheers Pete. All the best Kev Bod

The Counts - It Takes A Bunch A Lovin
Ther seller also put a FULL sound file of both sides. The other side has more than a passing resemblence to Tom Jones - It's not unusual !!

Ebay Rip Off Beware
Pete, I was 2nd highest bidder on this. Oddly enough, we bid the EXACT same amount - $128.88. However, because your bid was 1 second earlier than mine, you won. I didn't go any higher as I did have concerns over the lack of feedback Lucky escape for me by 1 second. Hope you get the money back All the best Kev Bod

Velvet Hammer - Happy
Hi Tim, I think you're right. As I recall, Pep and Ian "The Barber" Tyrer played this at "The Laf" covered up as "The Anderson Brothers". Then seemed to pop up all over the place. In the late 70's/early 80's, Pep bought lot's of new releases to sell to us lot which went on to become well regarded. Including, Prince Phillip Mitchell - I'm So Happy, Tyrone Barclay - Man of Value. Most of us at the time bought loads of them - mostly good but a few crapper's!! Cheers Kev Bod.

Youngsters On The Scene
I was 19 in 1979, so not sure if that qualified as a "kid" back then!! It may have been 24 year olds moaning about 15 year olds. How things have changed - sort of
