  1. Hi All, I recall skipping around You Tube several years ago and tumbling over an instrumental of The Chandlers YLML Wasn't called YLML. Can somebody help me to find it again please? Thanks in advance. Paul
  2. RIP. Could have sat back after The Shoop Shoop song but carried on and left us some gems. One in a million Tears Everybody plays the fool (sublime) Paul
  3. If I was pushed I'd go for Take My Heart Mary Saxton as a good early example of a tailor made attempt albeit Canadia Allergies suit me, don't believe they mis represent anything, just combine the juicy bits from tunes and add their touch. As we do our thing highlights that arresting Motown drum intro. Was it Nile Rogers quoting Schubert that said....good musicians borrow music, great musicians steal it! Paul
  4. Think..... I ain't goin' nowhere - Junior Walker Just about sums it up. Paul
  5. Had always thought they named the group after the road (Stemmons Expressway) due to it's notoriety as the scene of JFK's fatal shooting. Paul
  6. That'll be that little Tim O'Keefe fella. He wasn't messin' up his top British 45 collection with one of them 'nasty imports'. Paul

  15. Who said the credits are wrong? I wrote METHINKS Mike terry is lurking there on listening to it - if not MT then Sam Reed (apt name) could double as a MT impersonator! Paul
  16. Great track. Philly credits but methinks Mr Terry lurking in the background, and for a record recorded 16.05.69 I suspect this was one of Mike Terry's last contributions via the sax. Paul
  17. Al De Lory - Right On should do the trick. Paul
  18. After much thought I'm plumping for: A) another 'DOC' find. B) An 'A la king' Detroit item that got to the test pressing stage in New York, but no further. Paul
  19. Just finished a book on The Supremes by Mark Ribowsky in which he states that Popcorn Wylie left Motown (early 60's) to join a label called Northern Soul! Never heard of that one before, or is it common knowledge? Paul
