Help with a song
- Jessie James,Arcades,Curtis Mayfield.
I bet you're thinking of "Can't Satisfy" which is basically The Isley Brothers' "This Old Heart Of Mine" slowed down-- Butlers with Frankie Beverly On Rouser
There's not much info on Tom Rouse on the net- in 1973 he did work for the Building Community Arts Recording Corp. where he was in charge of the BCA, Rouser and Top Soul labels. ( from the 1973 Billboard Record Manufacturers section) -- Jessie James,Arcades,Curtis Mayfield.
Everytime I hear Willie Tee's "Teasin' You", I think of the Impressions' " It's All Right".- Jessie James,Arcades,Curtis Mayfield.
I have a feeling Curtis never heard of either 45. Triad was based in El Cerrito, California and besides KSOL (San Francisco) playing "The Soul P.W.', I can't find it getting airplay anywhere and it didn't get reviewed in any of the trade papers. The Jessie James 45 was a flop- no mention in the trades and no signs of airplay. On the other hand, it's possible he knew of both and had them pulled off the market.- Butlers with Frankie Beverly On Rouser
To me, it sounds like the same take but sped up and with an edit near the end of the song. Judge for yourself-- Butlers with Frankie Beverly On Rouser
The Quaker Town label was owned by Philly deejay Leon "Cannonball" Fisher.- Butlers with Frankie Beverly On Rouser

"Because Of My Heart" was recorded in November, 1966 so- it might have been released late '66 but I believe 1967 is more likely.- Jimmy Thomas - Mirwood
- The Madison Brothers & Daniel Madison
- Trippin on your love
I've read Mavis fell in love with the song after hearing Phillip Mitchell's demo. Is this his demo version of the song or something he made later? There's no info on you tube with the video.- Group Harmony on Radio
- Rarest Stock Copy
As far as I know , the Benny Sigler is promo only. I have never seen a stock copy of it. With the Rhonda Washington, I've seen Sure-Shot 5026 listed on few web sites as "What About Love"/ "Swing Town U.S.A." but neither shows pics of the 45. Also, I can't find any mention in it in any of the trades (Billboard, Cashbox, Record World). And finally , I can't find the 45 getting airplay on any radio station. I'm about 95% sure about the 2 45's. If anyone has pics of either- please post !- Flirtations-Nothing But A Heartache- question
For the most part- Yes. The Deram group contained Ernestine and Shirley from the original group and added Viola Billups (aka Pearly Gates).- Mill Evans - Constellation recording, poss unreleased
And this - 7) NC - Bunky- Flirtations-Nothing But A Heartache- question

There was a topic on this website about an acetate from 2012. It's described as an alternate vocal to "Just Like The Weather" but never mentions the title of the song. It also said the acetate was sold on e-bay but I can't find any info on it.- Strange Neighborhood-q’s Or contributions
The label on the 45 says Scepter.- Strange Neighborhood-q’s Or contributions
Record World gave "Strange Neighborhood" a 4 star rating in their Dec. 2, 1967 issue. They obviously liked the song's beat . Billboard gave it a favorable rating in the Special Merit Spotlight selection (Dec. 9, 1967) and Cashbox labeled it a best bet in the Dec.2, 1967 issue.- Strange Neighborhood-q’s Or contributions
There's also Tommy Hunt's version-- Who Is, Or Was, Court Davis?
