  2. I think it's more than just Michigan. I got an e-mail from Dusty Groove in Chicago- their Chicago store is closed but they are open for online business. The idea in the U.S. is that the President has left it up to each state's governors to decide how to deal with the Corona Virus In some states its business as usual and in others it's "shelter in place" aka stay home and only essential businesses are open.
  3. Definitely worth a mention -
  4. This article from Record World (May 14, 1966) does show that at the time of the record's release, there were copies made with Larry Allen as the artist. They did get the labels reversed in the article though (Larry Allen on Jerree etc.)
  5. A few more- "What's Wrong With Me Baby"- Invitations "I'm In A World Of Trouble" - Sweet Things "Feel So Bad" - Jackie Edwards "Don't It Make You Feel Funky" - Joe Hicks "Such Misery" - Precisions "Think Smart" - Fiestas "Down In The Dumps" - Tony Hestor "Chills and Fever" - Paul Kelly "Find A Quiet Place (And Be Lonely)" - Melvin Davis "Stay Away From Me" - Major Lance
  6. Record World March 26, 1966 -
  7. No- according to the liner notes of "Jack Ashford- Just Productions" (Kent), Lorraine Chandler remembers the Smith Brothers as Donald, Jesse and John Smith and Eugene Johnson. She also said they changed their name to the 11th Commandment and recorded two singles for her R.J. label in 1981 and 1983.
  8. Another strange thing about the Magnificent/ Mam/ Miko label is I can't find anything about them in any of the trade papers. Usually when a new company is formed a small article or even a paragraph will appear in Billboard/ Cashbox/ Record World. None of the company releases gets a review or even a mention anywhere. You would think that a setup between MAM and Jack Ashford would be worth even a brief mention. ps- If anyone finds anything - please post it.
  9. According to discogs, one sold for $51.95 in August 2019. There's no mention of condition though.
  10. According to the liner notes of the "Jack Ashford Just Productions" CD on Kent, the London based MAM label did strike a deal with Jack Ashford to lease product on the MAM/ Magnificent/ Miko labels.
  11. 1969 Baseball card -
  12. Here are the last 4 sales from popsike- $778- (VG++) 10/18 $416 (VG-) 3/18 $343 (VG-) 11/17 $456 (EX/G+?) 5/17 - The "Boy ..." side was in excellent condition, b side played with constant tick
  13. Not mentioned in the discography in the 1st post, Jo did lead vocals on 4 tracks on the Burt Bacharach album "Futures" -
  14. Another Ashford/ Simpson/ Armstead collaboration -
  15. From the Ashford / Simpson / Armstead team -
  16. According to an article in "Soul Survivor", Jo mentions Ruby Andrews "Casanova" and all of Garland Green's work with Jo as being cut in Detroit. I think all the Armstead / Terry output was done in Detroit.
  17. Jo as an Ikette in 1962 -
  18. Produced by Jo and Mike Terry -
  19. Written and produced by Jo -
  20. Manager John Lewis, Phil Chess, Ralph Bass and Etta on the cover of Cashbox -
  21. I think this one also comes out at the same time -
