The Orwell Reunion Part Two

Some of you may or may not know, a little shindig took place recently, out in the wilds, just off the M6 near Haydock. It was a reunion, a coming together of like minded people who had previously gathered every so often in a venue in the middle of Wigan, called the Orwell. It was at these nights that soulies listened and danced to a mix of music from the 60's 70's and in some cases right up to today. They shared one common interest, a love of soul music.

It may come as no suprise that because of the wait the affectionados of the Orwell had endured, the night sold out in a matter of days, in fact, it sold out so quickly, that many people who wanted to go simply couldn't get tickets. Many people didn't even know it was happening until it was too late.

That's why you are reading this. The night was so good (check out the Facebook group 'The Orwell Reunion') that we have been pursuaded to hold a second and final instalment to let all the people who, for whatever reason, missed the first event, savor the musical experience of the 'Orwell' and the atmosphere created by this much missed night.

So, if you missed it, Dont Miss This, If you never went, come now, you're welcome but dont forget there will be no more reunions after this

What a top night the 5th of November was , and for a lot of people it was the crossover event of the year.

and we get to celebrate the memories from the Orwell again a week on Saturday  I for one cant wait!!!!!!!!!!!

As Part 2 of our Orwell Reunion event is almost upon us I thought I would

express my personal thanks to everyone that has attended our nights down the years

and a special thank you to everyone that came to the first reunion event especially to all who travelled large distances

coming down or If you attended the last one I can certainly promise you a fantastic night coupled

DEC1st...only three days to go, get those arrangements in place this will be the last chance to savour the flavour of the Orwell at it was. A great Night out if you like listening and dancing to something just a little bit different.

gonna be a top night , missed the first one , will not make the same mistake again . I remember the period when new releases were being played at the Orwell along side the quality x-over . things like James D-train Williams- 'Darlin'  Andre Delange - 'could you be '  , Gems for jem - 'time for love. would love to hear a few of those.
