Rugby Soul Club 475 Posted June 20, 2017 Oh my, was that a hot one. :-O We had every exit open, all the windows & even brought in extra industrial fans. Sorry to the first arrivals who had to witness me having a funny turn in the heat & thank you to Dean who was trying to fan me & return me to my "normal" bouncy self :-D I do secretly love the ones who now arrive before we open :-) June, if the weather is nice, is usually a slow starter, so it was nice that the ones taking advantage of the early doors discount came in thick and fast. My new door ladies - Tone Deaf-Monkey & Phil Shields, did a sterling job. That does not mean that Idell & Carol are off the hook. :-O It was lovely to see our loyal supporters & as ever, some Rugby virgins :-) A few old friends who I don't get to see very often was also a treat. Defo not our busiest but a healthy crowd & as one lady said, anymore and we'd have died in the heat :-D So, last but by no means least, the DJ's who kept dragging us up to dance in that mental heat. :-OKenneth Aitchison, Dave Rimmer, Phil Shields (great to see you back on form), Chic, Dick Kropniewski, Steve Grubb, Ian Jackson, Ian James, Alan Jenkins, Les Norman, Don "Mopsey" Morris, John Muir, Tom Philly Groove, Soul Sam & Craig Swifty Simpson A nice, long summer break now to recharge our batteries...or in other words...83 sleeps Link to comment
