Back by popular demand, tickets are now available for this second weekender at the Stanwick Hotel, Northants.

For tickets and info please call / text 07905 028003....or buy online here: http://www.grooveonpromotions.co.uk/shop/

Weekend passes are £20...or you can choose just the Friday night (£7), Saturday day/night (£10) or The Sunday Soul Sessions (£5).

Room rates for the hotel are discounted this weekend: Single room £60 per night B&B or Double room £80 per night B&B. Alternatively there's some decent local B&Bs just a short taxi ride away + three different Travelodges each roughly within a 10-15 min taxi ride at Thrapston, Rushden or Kettering.

Here's a heads up on what's on when:

Friday 8pm to 2am:

- In the main room it's a "Thank Funk it's Friday" Groove On special...floor filling 70's/80's soul & funk anthems with DJ's including Rob James, Louie Martin, Max Reese, Ade & Patch, Jem Brittin.

- In the smaller second room it's "Freestyle Friday", 70's to modern soul with DJs including Brian Goucher, Steve Scotney, Phil Attley & Tank.

Saturday 2pm to 2am:

- In the main room it's 12 hours of classic Northern Soul with DJs including Jem Brittin, Len Dopson, Al Leighton, Glenn Bellamy, Hammie, Geoff Ware, Dave Vanner, Andy Horne & Brian Bates.

- In the second room it's "Collectors Corner" soul treats in the afternoon and early eve, then from 7pm its 60's to modern soul all night with DJ's including Brian Goucher, Max Reese, Mick & Mo, Len, Stevie P, Kiddo & Steve Scotney.

Sunday 2pm to 10pm:

- Sunday Soul Sessions special in the main room with Gouch, Scotters and several regular supporters of these gatherings, including Tricky, Pete Mattock, Sid, Tank, Stevie P and brothers Dean & Jason Lockwood ...SOUL by the bucket load to end the weekend!

Anyone pondering what to do on the weekend 10/11/12 Feb, hopefully above summary and DJs listed so far should tell you all you need to know about the sort of soul you can expect to hear, but free to get in touch by PM if you want to know more. Len will post up DJ times for the 2nd room in the next few days...both rooms and all sessions shaping up to be great:thumbsup:

Still some rooms available at the hotel itself, discounted by 20% on normal rates (down to £60 for single room or £80 double)..including a cracking breakfast  http://www.thestanwickhotel.co.uk/ Then maybe go for a walk round the brilliant nearby Stanwick Lakes http://www.stanwicklakes.org.uk/northampton/ before the Saturday or Sunday afternoon sessions.

Or if you don't mind short taxi ride there's the Travelodge approx 5 miles away in Thrapston just off the A14 (J13), currently looking like about £40 a room there.

Tickets moving well so please use the link in above post if you'd like to get on board for just one, two or hopefully all three days!

Cheers, Steve

Cheers for sorting DJ times for the second room Len:thumbsup:..Great line up in both rooms right across the weekend, really looking forward to seeing everyone again.

Just a quick note to all interested in the Sunday Soul Session, now looking to start this soon after lunch rather than originally listed time of 4, so even more soul packed in the weekend if you want it! :)

Still a few tickets left for either the whole weekend or just the individual days if you prefer..please contact Jem or click this link http://www.grooveonpromotions.co.uk/shop/

See you there, Steve.

The Sunday Soul sessions have been running for a couple of years now, primarily Sweet and Deep with a handful of newer tunes chucked in. We usually have at least 3 guests who also bring there respective choice of soul.

There can be no doubt that our venue has resulted in the additional venues playing similar music on a Sunday up and down the country, so if you fancy listening to some quality music that you perhaps wouldn't normally listen too, or if you just want your fix then this is the room to the in on Sunday.

The sound system is probably the finest you will encounter.

See you there.

A few people have asked about food available....The hotel have confirmed they'll be serving up basket meals and other snacks over the weekend + those staying over get a great breakfast of course. Should be reasonably priced but if anyone wants to brave the cold for something more hearty there's also a great pub by the church just 5 mins walk into Stanwick (and a 24 hr McD's a couple of miles miles up the road on the edge of Raunds:thumbsup:).

Looks like it's gonna be cool out and maybe some snow, but with 3500 Watt sound systems in each room and top soul being served to top people across the weekend, should be warm inside at least! :)

Ps..the Sunday Soul Session is now confirmed as starting at 2pm rather than the originally advertised later time and is shaping up very nicely for those interested.

Cheers, Steve

'The Sunday Soul Sessions' is in the Main Room on the Sunday

All the best,

Len

...Slight change of plan today that we'll be staying in the conservatory room side of the hotel, rather than the main room, for a much needed wind-down soul session after a busy couple of nights. It's more cozy on a day like today and this is also where we'll also hold just three more Sunday Soul Sessions this year: 14th May, 16th Jul and 24th Sept. Less is more:thumbsup:

Thanks in advance to today's guest collectors who will be sharing their soul along with Brian and I from 2pm will be Tricky, Pete Mattock, Sid, Tank, Stevie P and brothers Dean & Jason Lockwood.

Cheers, Steve
