The bloke was telling me how much he admired me that I was only a young girl (I'm 40 mate!!!) and wanted to buy this - I didn't have the heart to tell him it wasn't actually for me - cost me 75pence but my dad is worth it

June 21, 200519 yr Last Sunday at a Hertfordshire car boot sale I splashed out 20p on a copy of Chuck Jackson - All Over The World. The Ralph Tee and Ian Levine remix on Debut. And God help me, I really shouldn't admit this, but I like it. It's on the turntable now. Nurse, NURSE! I also bought some other 80s soul 45s on Timeless records (Cos the tagline said "Soul Music Set free") - Equallly shite yet equally compelling, I think I must have been softened a bit by youthful Style Council purchases. Feel free to slap me this weekend if you see me out.

I used to have parties to that as a kid. Honestly. As I remember it's got summat about Hot potato on it? I'd seriously like a copy if you're willing to part with it. Memories like..... It can stand proud next to my '84 Keith Harris & Orville christmas 45 and 'Turtles shaped picture disc. I tried to get the latter in my box for the 100 Club for the killer flip by Splinter but Raphael's flailing nunchucks meant it wouldn't fit.....

Super soul on 1967 Pye International with tracks by Chuck Jackson , Tommy Hunt , Roscoe Robinson , J J Barnes and Bobby Hebb to name a few. Second one is Blues and soul on 1966 Marble Arch with obscure tracks from The Entertainers , Mitty Collier - My party , Brilliant! and Two in the morning by Spooners Crowd , Hmm interesting.

Here go`s,got Blues & Soul about half dozen times,there are couple of other Marble arch LPs on a simaler theim,got em all,and early Otis & Wilson stuff,largly ignord by the record buying puplic,used to be millions of these starting to dry up though!!,the rarest one Marble arch that is i think maybe by a band called the Steam engine,from Bristol,got it somewhere but would take 3years to find it brilliant i tell you,instumental heavan,pluss motown covers ets;brill,so when laying claim to my emoticom,think twice king of booters you aint,you dont even get glose if you would want to challange my right to the undesputed King of booters bring it on,say triumphs from the last 10years should do it,you wont even get close... I stopped at a thrift shop last night & found an LP for 50 cents: The Soultown Symphony plays the best of the Detroit Sound (anvil 1001) Orchestra covers of Motown tracks......actually not terrible.
