Other than this one there were quite a few played.

Sir-Prize - Never Can Find The Words

Hotliners - Coldhearted

Kooley - Count 2-3

Cheryl Hunter - Do It Right (although a 7")

I also quite like Tommi Johnson - You For Me, although it wasn't earth shattering.

Malik is a storming piece of 80's dance music. Apart from the small Boogie scene, I wonder if there is a place for them today. On hindsight over 20 years, IMO most don't stand the test of time.

I bought most of them in the late 8ts and have sold/traded a few over the years.

I have posted some of them up on my website and added sound clips to some of the best one's -

https://www.independe...c/budweiser.htm

I have seen quite a few copies of Sir Prize for sale lately, I remember trading my Lee McDonald album for the Preston Rawlings 12 with Steve Davis 20 years ago, something I regretted later on.

I've got the Budweiser Showdown 1987 Regional Finals Mastertapes, from Starstream Communications and at the moment trying to find out all the Artists as it only give the Titles of the Song on the Tapes, I'll put a list up when I'm finished but any help will be greatly appreciated only 1987 though but it does include Sir Prize which is a plus.

Mike posted this list in Aug 10. I think Cunnie Collects these too, he put me onto Crosswind Get ready which i still enjoy at home very much.

Budweiser Label Listing

For a change here's some info on one of the 80s collectable labels.

Did any others get played / make it big on the scene and is this still played / value ? g.gif

Sorry didn't spot the value? at first sight. JM auctioned a Crosswind some time last year and I think it went for £100+. Cunnie (on here) did me a favour spotting one for sale (again on here, from Jolly I think) for £50, I think that was a cheap price given foreign interst in these.
