Looking through some youtube vids and came across one of John Manships the Sandy Linzer cover-up by Reuben Howell here:-

https://www.raresoulm...tion/this-week/

Please read the notes attached on the vid. Anyone know anything about the Richard Searling Appreciation Society that John suggests? I would like to join.

I thought this forum was the Richard Searling Appreciation Society ?

only kidding, honest :)

The man himself is re-starting up the Lowton nights again in December, so I'm a fully paid up member of the RSAS...... & a fellow yid*o, but I'll keep that quiet after the Man City game :shhh:

yes, and the good lady & myself will be on the door to greet you all!, this is a fabulous venue with a truely great dancefloor and quite appropriately its in the hands of the master promoter so, beware the lockout signs if you value a good night's dancin'....hopefully ricardo will have raided his "garage" for some of those "one-off" cover-ups that have been gathering dust!! :D

When is this? so I can hound him for Cleveland Eaton

december 9th.....and it just so happens to be my birthday as well......old fooker!! :D :D

had the chance to meet richard and speak to him for the first time....fatal mistake he mentioned wigan poor guy didnt have a chance....he did a spot on friday and ud have thought he was back in wigan in 81...

Dickie is and always has been a Spurs fan.

He was once on after me, (at Bank Hall I think) anyway Liverpool had put 7 past Spurs that day.

So for my last record I played Sam Williams and called it "Goals Slipped Though My Fingers".

Carl Carlton knocks spots off this. RSARSE?

I totally agree.

Searling kept Wigan going when it looked like been submerged by Muriel Day,Judith Durham, Helen Shapiro etc and his Casino playlists from 78-81 were the stuff that filled my fantasy,s (as well as Desiree Cousteau and Amber Lynn) --Al Williams ,Cecil W. ETC AND IN MORE RECENT TIMES---Sharon McMahon,Four Flights,Renee and Angela etc ------The man is an icon and i.ll join the R.S. Appreciation Society!!
