As a lot of you know there's a Facebook page called I went to Wigan casino page, I personally wouldn't join as I don't think it's for me, then again I don't broadcast that I'm a soulie and outside of the soul fraternity there's not a lot of people know my secret passion.Are you on there.? I go on it, and alot of the other groups as well.

It's a laugh, nothing more, nothing less.

Plus the good thing about Facebook is you find the names of people you have talked to for years at venues and never known their names.

Some times we do talk about Wigan, records and memories, but most of the time it's utter bollacks just like being at a nighter.

i,m a member of it too!....its mainly people posting tunes and then people commenting on them.....its ok.

I'm on it, it's just harmless nostalgia.

Also on it, pop in every so often, don't ever get too involved

im sorry if i insult anyone here, i prefer this sight as its SOULY about what we love to listen to and talk about...NOT to simply discuss who we are and what our personal lives are all about, let alone share it with 65+ million people who dont know who you are....so why do soulies wnat to be on facebook as well?. surely where our families and friends are concerned we have terrestrial and mobile phones, we can send texts, emails even good old fashioned letters...look, its not to say facebook was created to expose people to personal abuse, threats, trolls etc,...it happens in everyday life anyway. i certainly WONT go on it, wether its a good thing or not, why should i when i can use soulsource as my media outlet? i can talk to whom i want knowing that the site is the host to likeminded people who dont want to lay bare who they are and their life histories...if someone wants to leave theirselves wide open to unprovoked abuse and it DOES happen on there, then thats the chance they take...yes, i know that is relatively minor BUT it does happen.

I go on there. Its a good place to hear tunes, discuss memories, catch up with old mates who dont come on here but are on FB . You would be suprised at some of the sounds people post up.....Not always the same oldies as you might expect, in fact I have heard a few on there I hadnt heard since The Station Rd days.There has been quite a stir on there recently about whether Cecil Washington got played out by Tony Jebb at The Torch ....(someone on a wind up in my opinion )

Its not gonna tickle everyones tonsills but its fine by me.

im on there and theres some lovely people on there,

I'm a member on the site although don't go on it a lot.

People are able to take a trip down memory lane with no soul police commenting on tunes posted.

Still prefer soul source of course

I'm a member but I don't take too much notice of it to be honest. Apart from some of us I see it as mainly for people who went a few times or aren't really that serious about the music etc. But that's just me......
